It will create a new group with the hotkey, and remove the units from all other groups afaik. Haven't tried it though. It was implemented for Archon mode so you can steal units from your friends hotkey groups, but it also works in normal play. | ||

An archode mode feature that also works in 1v1 Let's say you have 10 roaches in group 1. You want to take 3 and have them in group 2 to send them somwhere. You just box 3 roaches, press ctrl+alt+2 and they are in group 2 AND out of group 1. Way easier then shiftclicking 3 roaches, making group 1 new and then boxing those 3 roaches and make them group 2. | ||
