Honestly, I think that Blizzard wasn't expecting any big "esport" results. It was a casual game from the start and, well, they didn't invest heavily into that. The engine was done, game was done(As a mod). Not a big deal for them, IMO

No way, I reckon that they'll try to push Overwatch vs. TF2 at best.

I doubt it as well, but I am just spitballing. Seems like the focus should just be more, new IP.
