I don't get why it takes so long for tournaments to post replays. ESL upload them as the tournament finishes, imo that should be the standard.

Usually it takes a couple of weeks for Dreamhack, right?

Haha, the sequence of the constant drop reinforcement in Life's natural in the first game... Wave 1 gets cleaned, wave 2 already there. So funny

Wow ForGG... I thought he would never win a championship; so far, despite the "talent" and his rare killer instinct, there was just something lacking in his play for that. And then he shows up like this, solid in all match-ups, with actual diversity and even mindgames in his builds... and this Hellion multitasking in the Foxtrot game of the first series ♥ ... Very cool to see a player stuck at the same level for years manage to evolve and upgrade his play to the next level like this, congratulations! A force to be reckoned with in the future if he keeps playing like this.

Very nice comment.

You'll be really impressed by his multitasking in g1 of this series once you watch it. He sends so many Medivacs at Life (all at the same base!) Life actually cannot kill them fast enough.

It's even more amazing because the observer doesn't actually go back to base, so every time more Medivacs come it's like they're coming out of nowhere.

Observer ain't brood war level yet. And I find it annoying when he shakes the camera.

This annoyed me so much also.
I don't particularly like you.

So happy for ForGG !

And glad he beat life who just beat Taeja, so that people wont say he just won out of TvT.
He defeated the world champion, a Z who had just defeated one of the best T of history, so legit !

Very nice style unorthodoxy by ForGG, very inspiring !

Wow, ok just finished catching up with everything. Life played fantastically, but so did ForGG. Advantage of ForGG however was that he had a unique style Life couldn't get around to. Only after game 4 and 5 did I feel that Life kind of got accustomed to how ForGG works, but in game 6 he totally got mindgamed him and it was all too late for him to react. Again, deserved final by really the two strongest players of this tournament.

Look at how TvZ is without Widow Mines... such a beautiful game with siege tanks.

It makes me miss that brief golden age of WoL after we stopped playing on tiny maps and before the queen patch.

Indeed. Mid 2011 - queen patch TvZ was the peak of sc2 entertainment imo.

Also on twitch.

I haven't been keeping up with the scene much in recent months but the layout of that final map was really interesting. And game 3 is one of the most unique mech TvZ games I've ever seen, up there with a game I saw Baby play a long while ago where he went with a drop-centric mech style against Zerg that worked beautifully. Really good final series all in all.

Oh hell yeah!

When Terrans made 2-4 hellions and Zerg played that beautiful dance of ling/queen/spine to keep terrans at bay, and it was all about how far zerg could push hellions back to spread creep.

I loved that so much. How the early game was transparent and evident. Good hellion micro vs passive hellion micro, good creep spread (because of how well you pushed back aggression), etc...

I miss those days so much.

Sadly, maps became huge and Mutalisk unbeatable with Tanks :-(...

I'm going to experiment with a Tank Thor Bio transition this week, after securing a fourth, cut the crappy mines and go all out Terran warmachine in your fucking face. And with barely dropping mmr! I love being Random :D
