I don't really think they are hard to understand, but they're not particularly entertaining to watch if you don't play. And personally I think alll of them are more fun to play than to watch. I think Hearthstone is more fun to watch than to play on the other hand. I don't think HS is fun to watch at all
at least the tournaments

If the streamer is entertaining it's good and the game is giving some hilariously stupid/funny situations.

Look at HS, widely popular, but just for messing around. Real HS "esports" tournaments are rare, because it's just a bad esport game, too casual, luck based and so on. So only because a game is a moba it doesnt mean it will be the next LoL... Also SC2 is quite different. Why shouldnt sc2 pros play other games if they want? Like they do with HS, Dota2, WoW, ... this doesnt mean they give up on SC2. I think SC2 will live until WC4 and that is at least 4 or 5 years away. Heroes have the potential to be an esport in terms of skill cap imo, so its a matter of becoming popular or not. Compared to SC2 its casual, but most game are edit: Its also fast paced, so its fun to watch as long as you play/understand what is going on. Not rocket science, its a simple game XD

It's not unique to SC2.
Hell, it's not even unique to esports. People just tend to flock together with others who have similar interests and assume that all other interests are inferior.

The 2nd big game changer was that he attacked 10 seconds before my own banelings finished, which gave him a vastly superior composition. If it's 200/200 it's all about efficiency it doesn't matter much if I mined 1k ressources more if he gained 1k in a fight.
I was just looking at it as a sealed deal because you played SOO well, and got hella sad when it didn't work out. You're the bomb bro, keep it up.

I think Hearthstone is more fun to watch than to play on the other hand. They are hard to understand if you are not familiar with heroes, items, spells etc. that's what I have meant. About entertainment, that depends from player to player. I was playing DotA + DotA 2 for like 7-8 years without stopping(I am currently on a little break) but I enjoy watching it sometimes even more than playing it. Everything has ups and downs, playing it might be more fun, but it is also a lot more frustrating, on the other hand watching is also fun but can be boring if teams aren't good or if it is boring game in general.
