I don't understand the FlaSh hype at all. Yes, he is the BW legend. And yes, he is one of the best players in SC2 in the world, but he simply can't considered THE BEST (despite his performance in ProLeague). I don't understand those "FlaSh bonjwaaaa" and shit like that, after winning at IEM. How can anyone say this about player, who just won his first SC2 title...?!

The scene will just be so much more fun with him dominant again, just like how the nba was when michael jordan returned from baseball and went on to 3peat. I want to see flash be the chicago bulls michael jordan of starcraft again (yes, it probably isn't possible like in bw due to game design, etc) instead of the washington wizards michael jordan. I think a dominant flash would also help the korean viewership interest. I know flash's recent form has helped to reignite some of my lost passion and iem toronto was one of the few weekend tournaments I've watched in full in a long time.
He won't be retiring anyway, lol, Proleague is alive and if KT loses Flash, it's auto 6-7th place. There is basically one GSL left in HotS anyway before LotV addition, Flash still has a chance to be RorO of HotS.
One more GSL or one more year of GSL before LoTV?
One more year, I can't imagine them switching to LotV half-way through the season when they could just release it between like November-January and transition cleanly.
Yeah I think it's another year of hots as well. We've heard literally 0 info about LotV so far, and I hope blizzard finally shows us something this blizzcon. Then if you go by hots beta, it was released in sept 2012 and then released as retail in march 2013. Therefore, you're looking at a 6 months beta phase if they stick to the same timeline as hots.

It would be amusing if Starbow was really the secret Alpha test for LoTV and no one realized.
Is starbow still hyped? I remember it was all the rage when it first came out and people were talking about tournaments and esl even did one. Then it's been nothing since. Don't see any pros playing it and there's no major tournaments for it. It seems like it faded away to me at least.
Starbow hype train crashed harder than Flash hype train did today.
The flash hype train is refueling and ready to roll for the kespa cup, which thankfully is a bo5 format since if it wasn't for bo5, flash would have lost to snute and that epic win would never have happened!
I'd explain why that hype train won't be reaching its destination, but why bother when Apollo explains it all in one word?
EDIT: OK, I can't tell if my timestamp is starting at the right time or not. Is it starting at 17:55 for the rest of you?

what did you expect? It's the best player in the world
pr says #3. but the pr writers dont know shit.
This performance certainly made me rethink his #3 pr ranking!
Maybe you should rethink Maru's ranking too
Flash lost in the easiest group, gotta look at the context yo.
Maru went 1-4 and Flash 4-4 though. Also soO is pretty good.
an year ago in the group of death Flash went 1-4. Gumiho went 4-4. That didn't make me think Gumiho was better than Flash.
And the fact that you disregard DRG's skill is kind of all I need to know.
No but a performance of 4-4 against Flash's opponents is certainly stronger than a performance of 1-4 against Maru's opponents.
You called it the easiest group. Also DRG got really quite lucky in game 2. Game 3 was pretty smart though.
Well thats a better argument and something i can see. But in the end that particular PR wasn't just August despite its title. It covered the entire time from the beginning of the year to now with a higher bias to the now and with some decay over time (or else soO/Zest would be #2/#1 respectively without that decay). And Maru did just enough in the PL Playoffs to ensure his spot in the top 3-4 despite his lack of tournament presence.
And most importantly, PR isn't a predictor of who will do well in the coming months. It's more of a grade of how well they've done. So retroactively criticizing it for results that have happened after the PR is missing the point of what a PR does.
So i watched this just because of flash. Not impressed with his tvz overall. Would prefer if he went widowmines, maybe i would have been impressed then and its just funnier to watch over the hellbat which is pretty lame overall to spectate.
Game 2 vs drg was fun tho, to bad flash fucked it up 100%... Thats sad btw.
Game 3 looked sloppy.
First time i saw Flash play pretty much since 1year ago. Overall, not impressed. Some things impressed me tho, such as his play in game2 vs DRG. It was fun to watch and i could tell this man knows how to harass. Hope i see more Widowmine/harass in his tvz in the future.

Wow you dumped Flash faster than MKP left LoL.
I'm a fickle poster these days. it keeps things more interesting
Well, you could admit that INnoVation and TaeJa are the best terrans.
Flash just finished bopping taeja at iem. Now with the region lock, we'll get to see what taeja's really made of. Will he retire or play in the gsl against the best again instead of building his rep from farming foreign tournaments?
