Honestly, look at his results from February 2013 until he won Red Bull (~1.5 years) and if you compared those to any Code A player, and didn't say what results belong to whom, you probably could not tell the difference.
I understand people are upset about Flash losing (I like him too) and I understand people are probably annoyed with how I only talk about DRG lol, but his run this past month has been nothing short of incredible.
Polt, Taeja, Maru, Parting, Bomber, First, Supernova, MC, Jjakji, MMA are all relevant.

The part of my post that you quoted had FAR more to do with how aggressive/patient with his army Flash was, than what army composition he was using. Don't separate a sentence from the rest of its context just to make a point.

You're right for the most part, but Maru and Parting are also from that era and very relevant.
oh yeah, of course. I should have thrown in non-kespa.

I agree with Polt. I meant to say non-kespa as well (Maru and Parting are kespa.) I mentioned TaeJa already. You think Bomber, First, SN, MC, MMA and Jjakji could get to round of 8 in these times?

I don't think this is the metric for determining how relevant a player is. Like I don't think Inno/Stats/Zest/Rain/Cure/soO/DRG/Solar are necessarily the "most relevant" players right now
I hope flash wins the kespa cup. A happy and dominant flash is exciting and great for the scene. I was worried when he was doing bad and reading interviews that he sounded down and was hating the game, so worried he might end up retiring. A happy and good flash means his motivation stays high and he won't be retiring before lotv comes out. It was just so great to see flash so happy in the booth after he won iem.
The scene will just be so much more fun with him dominant again, just like how the nba was when michael jordan returned from baseball and went on to 3peat. I want to see flash be the chicago bulls michael jordan of starcraft again (yes, it probably isn't possible like in bw due to game design, etc) instead of the washington wizards michael jordan. I think a dominant flash would also help the korean viewership interest. I know flash's recent form has helped to reignite some of my lost passion and iem toronto was one of the few weekend tournaments I've watched in full in a long time.

How ..? Did he play bad? Or Dong Rae Gu is strong?
He threw game 2 pretty hard vs DRG (ling runby sprints through gap in wall to kill every SCV at natural, just massive downhill from there)
Game 3 DRG opens with 14g/14p speedlings, Flash doesn't bother scouting, CC ends up getting cancelled. Flash tries really aggressively to break DRG's 4th but loses his 3rd due to counter (rallying all production to DRG 4th instead of his own 3rd).

He won't be retiring anyway, lol, Proleague is alive and if KT loses Flash, it's auto 6-7th place. There is basically one GSL left in HotS anyway before LotV addition, Flash still has a chance to be RorO of HotS.

One more GSL or one more year of GSL before LoTV?
One more year, I can't imagine them switching to LotV half-way through the season when they could just release it between like November-January and transition cleanly.

It would be amusing if Starbow was really the secret Alpha test for LoTV and no one realized.

Yeah I think it's another year of hots as well. We've heard literally 0 info about LotV so far, and I hope blizzard finally shows us something this blizzcon. Then if you go by hots beta, it was released in sept 2012 and then released as retail in march 2013. Therefore, you're looking at a 6 months beta phase if they stick to the same timeline as hots. It seems like blizz is going a lot slower with lotv with hearthstone and heroes of the storm in the mix now.

Is starbow still hyped? I remember it was all the rage when it first came out and people were talking about tournaments and esl even did one. Then it's been nothing since. Don't see any pros playing it and there's no major tournaments for it. It seems like it faded away to me at least.

The flash hype train is refueling and ready to roll for the kespa cup, which thankfully is a bo5 format since if it wasn't for bo5, flash would have lost to snute and that epic win would never have happened!
