I wonder if players flying in from KR are given enough time to adjust for jet lag? I see unusually visible eye bags on those flying in so that's why I wonder. Tennis players for example, fly comfortably and travel weeks in advance to adjust.

Probably a day or so in advance most tournaments... It's really not that bad.

Reason you see eyebags is because korean events have full makeup staff... duno if iem does makeup for their players when on the road but I doubt it?

Doubt it.
They had a make up person for the interviews (saw Jaedong getting powdered up but he seemed surprised by it all, all the players seemed in their natural state)

I don't know how people adjust from half a day of jetlag in just one day fully, your eating and sleeping schedule gets completely out of wack.

They're still young guys...the oldest player there is like what? 21?
I dont think they just came down on Friday either, they've probably been there a few days

well Zest played in GSL on Wednesday so he probably just arrived not too long before

Remember sOs playing awfully and getting crushed 3-0 in GSL Ro8? http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/sc2-tournaments/446542-code-s-ro8-day-1-season-1-2014

Because jet lag.

Good thing he had that yummy $100k as a consolation.

the only 2 koreans Snute has beaten so far, in this tournament, are both Protoss

and both top notch Protoss at that

Proving his ZvP is world class

if he meets Lifuu again though...

and what will happen when he runs into the other Koreans of Z and T in this tournament though?

and Taeja is in his side of the bracket...

lets cheer for him to getting farther than he did in IEM Shenzen (top 8) and a foreigner winning an IEM, Finally!

Btw, in case someone likes useless statistics: The last time, Snute lost to a kespa-player offline was in September 2013 to sOs. Since then he defeated Stork twice, TRUE, herO twice and sOs and thus is currently on a 6-series-winstreak (Lost against euro-koreans quite a bit during that time, though).

Flash will probably not even make it past MC. But if he does he will lose fast. He doesn't seem like a tournament winner to be honest. Like Jaedong, he doesn't seem to have the moxy to face difficult games several times in day.
Skill and opportunity only goes so far.

Flash > MC

Snute > Flash

That's how it will go.

Missed the last part of yesterday's games, glad to see that Scarlet's out and that Flash prevailed so far. Now if only someone would kick Taeja's ass out of the tourney, all would be well in the world. Sadly, I don't think either Violet or Leenock have it in them. One can still hope, though.

Please make it Flash!
To all the haters: you deserve to witness many, many more Serral victories, worthy of the godlike player he is.

The road to the finals seems simple enough given who Life beat so far
