He mentioned in an interview he's seriously practising again after dropping out of Code S. It's amazing how clear the difference in his play is.

I'm really hoping for Flash vs. Life or Zest. Would be my dream finals.

Arguably last year too since IPL kicked the bucket. Though DH gave them closer competition towards the end of 2013 with Bucharest and the Winter Championship.

MC vs MMA Yeonsu was sick Didn't include because: -Similar to the frost game IIRC -Besides being a very high level game, the only interesting/unusual part of the game was MC's use of the high ground. I might be thinking about the wrong game though :p I'm talking about MMA's absurd comeback when he looked dead as fuck (a bit like TaeJa-Zest game 3 but less extreme). The outcome was that fabulous face of disbelief.

TBH that whole Polt vs Rain series was good. Plus HerO vs Jaedong on Yeonsu was amazing. Then Hyun vs herO on Polar Night and some Polt vs herO games from Katowice. Holy shit IEM has potentially like 8/10 best games IEM is awesome Yeah, IEM is like the sickest foreign tournament league. They came a long way from 2011 when I'd of said they were one of the worst. Also, I'd have to watch it again but I think Jjakji vs Revival on Heavy Rain is perhaps my game of the year. ..also from IEM (Katowice)
Agree for jjakji vs revival, it was a sick match.

That's why I hate seeing foreigners beat koreans... This is such a bullshit argument In BW, a foreign professional scene didn't even exist like in sc2 Obviously the gap was big then, and smaller now yes, exaclty! because that game was an actual legitimite game and not some fucking LoL bs where the difference between clowns and legends becomes retardedly small. hence there wasnt a single guy post 2002 remotely in the same dimension as the top players. or i bet you somehow think there was literally 0% foreigners during those years trying as hard as the dozens of foreigners who have been competetiveish in sc2

The venue shuts down at 7pm EST and IEM prefers to have at least 90 minutes for a best of 5.

Wow the games were so long that they moved the final quarterfinal to tomorrow?

In SC2, lots of foreigners are being paid to play (ie. being pros) and travelling the world playing the game, and delaying their real life to commit (like korean pros do), that's why the gap is smaller.
Most foreign bw players didn't have that. Just 'trying hard' is not enough.
And flash is no sc2 legend. Maybe in the future. He has big chances of winning tournaments And Snute is no clown

I think one quarter was always going to be tomorrow.

Correct!
If there was time we would have moved it forward to today, however we didn't want to plan it there and then have to move it.

I think you misunderstood him, he said he wants to do as much translating as possible before he has to abandon it in order to go to a (different) full time job. :\

Liquid foreigners were really close to taking it to the KT duo today, foreigner resurgence?
