The North American WCS was terrible. Anyone else remember Insur? Seemed like he was getting good then bang he is gone Who the fuck is Insur American Protoss player that made WCS Finals in 2012. Seemed like he was up and coming but I know he was in school and I think he stopped playing competitively idk

You're entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean all SH games are bad for everyone Guys I have Stockholm Syndrome They were so boring I didn't even notice the difference. No but really, apart from unexciting dynamics of the games (which is debatable maybe, but I don't know how someone can enjoy watching 100000 locusts that you can't even be microed all that much..), games involving SH mostly tend to just show one player slowly dying for an hour. Nothing feels exciting when dragged out for so long. The first game and the second game (untill the final 10-15 mins) had loads of repositiong and aggressive swarmhost moves. It's really tactical. Locust still need to be controlled correctly to be usefull. Splitting them up, send them different paths etc. The last game was well, Snute said himself boring. This is however difficult to observe/acknowledge, I would probably need to learn to play Zerg SH style to really appreciate even those 2 games, which you say were good.

Normally, I'd agree that swarmhost games are boring as hell, but this game had quite a few features that made it fall far from the ordinary. First of all, there is a huge difference between SH games on 2 player maps and 4 player maps. On a smaller map, SH basically cut off any opportunies toss has: any mobility on the map is killed for P since SH can control the whole middle; taking expos becomes more or less impossible since locust can reach any expo after the 2nd from a decent position in the middle; harrassment is difficult since there really are not many places to attack. On that huge map though, Protoss had all options available to him. This made for exciting multiplaced action all over the map, which snute had to deflect with a lot of multitasking and split-second decision making since his SH were not in the capable of covering such a huge terrain. At the same time Snute also went for a huge gamble going up to 113 drones in order to execute his plan while being in danger of getting killed by harrassment or a deathball twice the size of his own army. Focused creep spread while under constant harrassment, a fairly good retainment of his corruptor count and the final switch from basically full economy to full army, which can be seen as a late game all-in, was something you do not see that often. TL;DR SH ZvP tends to be boring as hell, but this game was far from the ordinary and simply a delight to watch.

How is this intense if the biggest bullshit army from both races clashes? "Back and forth" didnt exist at 3rd map. at what point are we going to stop trying to argue with people about whether theyre allowed to enjoy something? caster are also not allowed to shitting that? What?
