I feel rather cheated on my joy, I saw bunny winning, clicked on events.. but it was listed under major. Now I am sulking
yes we can.
it means that non koreans, just like koreans, are at least able to win tournaments.
this is the first tournament win for a foreign terran where koreans where involved since thorzain's 2012 dreamhackwin, which was preceded by his TSL3 win 2011.

This solidifies him alongside those guys? :/
100% true. I mean let's not forget he beat patience, armani, sleep, Stardust, Demuslim, Tlo, Snute, Hyun. That's a pretty sick run for a foreigner.

But this time we get imba whining AND whether its premier or not
Well it's definitely not Premier, it had far too many invites for that. It shouldn't have even had as many WCS points as it did imho, the system is fundamentally stacked in favour of players that are already popular, it's a rich get richer system.
Somehow I doubt Bunny gives a shit if it's premier or not though.
HSC has the same percentage of invites, a lower price pool and no live attendance though.
HSC is the most glaring example of a tournament that should not be Premier nor have access to as many WCS points. The amount of invites is insane and makes the tournament organizer a major kingmaker in who gets access to Blizzcon and who does not, based on who they invite. 25% qualifiers with only 6% qualifier access for Korean players should by all rights not be anywhere near enough to qualify for any amount of WCS points.

The prestige of "winning a premier" is nice, but he's making some serious bank today either way so he doesn't care.
The only thing that should be of any relevance when discussing the prestige of a tournament is who you beat. If you win 100k at a local lan that's awesome, but it has nothing on a stacked 5k tournament in terms of prestige. The same logic should apply to the stupid debate about premier. Who was there, who did he play, that's all we should care about.
Also WCS points in invite tourneys is a joke.
I agree with that last point for sure. I don't understand how it's allowed that 75% of the players were invited yet it's for a lot of WCS points. I seriously think there should be some sort of debate here over that.
Man I really liked that hour plus game from Snute and MMA (mostly the outcome) but as much as I hate terran, I have to say I was happy to see Bunny takeout Hyun. Good for him and the foreign scene. Keep it up Bunny and lets see some more great finishes.

Can we just all agree that WCS system, including the point system needs a complete overhaul?

12 players, 9 invited. This can't be a Premier just because of this (and some other reasons I guess)
And what does it fucking matter anyway
It doesn't matter, but it raises questions if homestory cup counts as premier with the same number of qualification spots, more invites and a lower prizepool

Why do you care that much what type of tournament it is? Fact is, a foreign terran beat off Korean opposition to win a tournament and claim a big prize pool, that's it.
b-but.. it's like losing your virginity but not getting the diploma to hang on your wall. It takes away from the magic!
