Forgive me if I misunderstood the rules but by 1-0 advantage, they mean Liquid starts one series up and has to win one BO9 whereas Acer has to win 2 BO9. It's a tad extreme honestly for double-elim, simple due to the very lengthy series, but it does make sense on paper.

This season either team has to win 2 bo9s; but liquid starts with 1-0 in map score each series

Frankly though, when dealing with BO9 team format stuff and brackets, things are going to get weird anyway.

Would kind of suck if you fly in two teams and it's potentially over in one Bo9 in a conventional double elim setup, wouldn't it?
