I know I'm gonna get railed.
If only you could build a Roach Warren for 150 minerals in case Terran uses this kind of push.
Except you can't scout it in time.
Overlord speed after ling speed see's completed armory too late. Which means you are blind-dropping a roach warren, never good to blindly drop tech.
Yep, I can certainly understand why losing a worker and spending 150 minerals puts you immensely behind in a 40 workers / 1.5k minerals per minut economy.
Yeah, okay we can get the Roach Warren. We still can't scout the armory in time and we would need to build roaches blindly before the attack is at our door, because once it's there it's too late to get roaches.
Exactly. And I can even share a secret... From my ladder experience against various Zerg pros, it works.
how do you dare to bring empiric arguments here :p ?
personal anecdotes to represent game balance across thousands of players is not "empiric argument"
I am not talking about balance; I am saying Zergs can defend those pushes, even if they're not exactly scouted. I denied over sac from TargA or SortOf and they still had enough (Roaches or banes) to hold my Hellbat pushes.

and you have to be mining gas to accomodate roaches in addition to your plans for upgrades and lairs, and you need to float additional supply ahead of your larva production so that you can make roaches instead of lings or drones (using twice as much supply per larva). basically you'd be floating and waiting, so you're no better off than just making the roaches blind anyway.
queen kiting, competent ling micro and a spine crawler can hold until roaches
Would love to know where you are getting the resources (money+larve) from for lings and roaches.
We get it you don't think this is possible to be held. You can stop talking about it and we can all watch SC2 where Zergs routinely hold it and Terran isn't OP
No I didn't say that, it's far too early to make any claim like that. My concern at the moment is it's not scoutable and requires a blind-tech path to counter. We'll see over the next few weeks how the meta develops.
I don't think T is OP incidentally, i'm really enjoying TvZ at the moment and think this weekend's HSC has shown some superb games in the matchup.

If DRG can stop Inno's pre-patch hellbat drops, I'm certain ppl can stop this.

Going back to my original point, yeah Zergs will hold it. It takes time to learn how to and Scarlett got bad timing. That's all.
