In Bomber's defense he basically got blind countered. His build would work against almost anything but 2rax reaper. Or at least not die completely.

he didn't know that it was tvt. and he got the worst end build wise twice in a row. The fact that baloon doesn't know how to micro reapers only gave him one game sadly/
Yeah but seriously there's a 2/3 chance his opponent is Protoss or Terran why would you go for blind 2rax in that situation?
And I know 2rax isn't insta loss against those 2 races but it isn't very good most of the time.

A lot of people make the nonsensical argument revolving around there being so few successful random players, when no one mentions that hardly anyone plays random (there's probably a lot more people map hacking, yet they wouldn't win GSL's either). O, and if you mention that, people would argue that it's too hard to learn random. Frankly, I wouldn't play random because it's close to cheating. And, playing both sides of a mu, actually accelerates your understanding by so much.
And, in a mirror mu, you get to play with a mineral advantage from the get go. People give random players way too much credit. I don't see how you could ever consider a random player an underdog if they have pro level skill, unless they have 1 race that is not at a pro level.
It's a pet peeve. Random has always bothered me more than anything else in the game balance wise. I'd rather play a hacker than a random player. Honest to god.
Not worth discussing this with you then
On a two player map, I start a game at a disadvantage vs a random player. The game stays even vs a map hacker far longer. I'll take a decent start. I can find ways to scout.
The worlds tiniest violin about playing against random, it is seriously a non issue.
It's only a "non issue" due to the fact that no one plays random. If more people were to try playing random, and they were any good, they would start showing the race the random player spawned as, so f'ing fast.
In BW, people would have said the same thing, but anytime a pro played a random player, they always scouted with one of their first workers. It's so irking to know random players have an adv and it's the easiest thing to fix in the world, yet it's left as is. It's not that hard to learn other races. It just isn't. It's actually far easier to be the best at any mu if you play more than one race. I just see it as a double advantage if anything...

you can kill a P with godlike micro. And it's not that bad vs T either.

You can beat Protoss with 2rax if they open pretty standard or delay the MSC at all. Just bunker hop to the Nexus. You can also defeat many TvT build with it as well including the two common cloak banshee openers. It isn't that bad a decision.

You're so right. Tweet at a top Korean to play random so that they can win every GSL ever such a good plan!
