Golden was floating so many minerals holding off that push with just queens and slow lings. If he had just tried to get ling speed I think he could have shoved MC back a lot sooner and maybe had enough time to macro up before the inevitable 2 base immortal sentry hit. Still really hard to hold

I find MC"s play the exact opposite of boring. He seems to understand at least the early and mid-game so well that he knows exactly what to do with his units to edge out an advantage. He constantly uses what units he has to the best of their ability to make his opponent take game-ending damage. On the other hand a lot of lower-tier toss and especially European toss prefer sitting back and macroing up to their dream composition while turtling on three base while shooting out hallucinated phoenix, which is the definition of boring to me.

This is how terran is supposed to be played! People are so used to rally units and hope for the best because of the culture introduced by widow mine in hots.
Big fan of happy since Warcraft 3. It's a little bit weird that he plays such a different style (defensive, passive, and methodological) compared to his warcraft 3 style ( one of the absolutely best micro of all time, very aggressive strategies and on the fly decisions).
People who are becoming his fan now should learn about his warcraft 3 career. He was like a bad mannered version of Life. Hahaha he really couldn't keep his tongue down

one thing ive always hated in tvp is how terran can't mass retreat with medivacs once blink is out. it would be sick to see terrans microing medivac escapes from engagements so running into the deathball isn't just gg
I hope Happy wins this third game. I think there is a high risk that Happy would lose against Golden/a second series against TLO, while MC probably would not lose against either of these players if he loses this winner's match.

um, what? Because it was a straight up engagement the entire time opposed to Happy targeting the nexus first and then fighting afterwards. There was 0 reason for MC's units to lock onto the CC or workers when higher priority targets were firing on them, and it was 3-3 versus 2-1 at that point.

Defender's advantage pretty much means any factor causing a defending player to have an advantage over an attacking opponent.
Ramps, chokes, pre-set concaves, faster rallies, static defense, and yes, buildings which draw your opponents fire are all possible factors.
EDIT: Referring to your definition.. fair enough, I'd argue that definition needs to be expanded though.

You don't have defenders advantage vs protoss...
Yes you do. You don't have the garbage definition that liquipedia gives that could've been put there by any random contributor but he still has advantages as the defender. Even if warpin negates the reinforcement distance that still gives terran the advantage of their reinforcements being closer when fighting at his base compared to fighting midfield. Also like I said, ramp, concave, blocking CC.

Patch came out like 5 days ago. You'd need to take 2 more weeks of break if you really want to see how the hellbat change affected TvZ. Particulary in a foreigner tournament.
