While Root has been coming on strong lately with a lot of good pickups and some very nice results, watching EG in Shoutcraft is the reminder that when they're ready, this team is cash money. Group 2: I can say straight-up that Alternate cannot hang with this crowd. First and Yoda, assuming that they'll be playing with similar lag that led them to shockingly quick exits from the WCS EU qualifiers, are tricky propositions, though they do have the advantage of being in what is basically a 2-race group. This one is pretty tricky to call, but I'm calling the Bounty Hunters here for one simple reason: They have the incredibly deadly duo of MC and Revived MC.
Group 3: One of the strongest teams of Season 2 now tears itself apart for the glory of Taiwan...and there will be Wolves once again. San and Leenock are scary enough, but when you throw in all 3 of the Taiwanese players to qualify for WCS AM Challenger, you are dealing with a truly frightening contingent. That being said, they still have to get past the biggest sleeper team of this entire qualifier: Alien Invasion. That crew has got an incredibly strong core with Patience, Golden, Strelok and Revenge. Yoe still comes in as the favorite to move on, but this is a crew that is NOT to be written off.
Group 4: This is the easiest group to predict by far. mYinsanity is one of the contenders right now for the title of best team on the face of the Earth. The rest of them are just not on that level, and will have bruises left on their cheeks from the backhanding they will receive at the hands of the Swiss team. The real victim of this lopsided draw is whichever team wins the match between Complexity and Gravity in the DETL playoffs, because they will face an IvD crew whose temper will have been set aflame.
