Yes it's been around forever, even longer than most of you guys seem to believe. Besides the fact that the current map pool is as protoss favored as it was during the dragons time in BW, we will eventually see players figuring this out, either that or Blizzard will step in and nerf it, have some faith guys.

What I was saying is that blink stalker builds are as old as sc2 itself and just like all the other ones got figured out, this one will as well.

Anyway, I think that I would be ok with the current state of blink if it wasn't that it was used in every single PvT series. It's kind of boring to watch the same game over and over again. You could basically remove the names of the players and just swap the names around and it wouldn't have changed anything. Players like sOs may be creative, but doing a generic build like blink all ins doesn't actually show any variations. The reason that the game with the carriers was cool is because it was different, new, and unique. No one does that shit, that's what makes it so cool. When people just do the same build over and over again, it gets stale. How much longer do we have to put up with PvP finals? Is 3/4 (with 4/4 being Protoss winners) not enough for 2014?

The MSC means that you can do a blink build without investing into a robo (that's another like 2 stalkers in terms of cost and it also makes it hit much earlier, in addition to time warp). I'm not saying that blink wasn't used in WoL, but the builds are not the same. In WoL it was more of a committment imo. Is 3/4 (with 4/4 being Protoss winners) not enough for 2014? The widow mine patch makes it balanced again. Is it Blizzard's fault that none of the terrans in this tournament tried using it? In Korea widow mine has been having good success already

Not at all dude, MC's old build was blink + observer off 1 base. This new breed of blink all-in is entirely based on the MSC.

I watched 25/32 code s terran, I watched ZvZ final after ZvZ final and I'm watching all these PvP finals. People just need to be more patient we won't see protoss dominate forever.

You can sometimes get lucky and hit a huge shot, but Stalkers can blink out of the shots if they're good. So they may work, but I don't know if we can really say so for sure right now. widow mines shouldnt be used alone vs stalkers, they should be used together with bunkers or on high ground the problem with bio vs blink is that stalkers can keep blinking np, but with widow mines they lose their ability to blink vs bio and terran can save a lot of time

Jkjk, in all seriousness there were series this weekend that were amazing and we should all appreciate that, it's the first tournament in a long time that has had a plethora of great games and exciting storylines. I mean, come on! The finals is herO v sOs. King of IEM v King of the World. They may not be "fan favorites", but who defines that? Sure, they are KeSPA players who haven't been around for all of SC2's existence, but they already have storylines in their own rights. sOs, the so-called sleeper champion of WCS, the potential $100,000 man. And herO, the potential 3x IEM champion and deserved champ of season 8. Such sour people, yeah I get frustrated with blink builds and Protoss sometimes, but the whine is unbearable.

I'm pretty damn certain they have a lot of fans behind them. herO might be the most solid / stable Protoss around atm and has the fairytale of a possible 3 win streak at IEM, sOs is a creative little chap, reigning world champion and if he wins here he adds another 100K to his name. They're both popular and interesting..

Oh I know for sure that they do have a lot of fans, but when there is a shit storm when they beat players like Polt and Taeja and are criticized just for being Protoss, it's a little unfair and somewhat heartbreaking. I get a sense that a lot of people think that their finals run was slightly illegitimate.
