It is pretty difficult to win as a Protoss when the game comes to this stage. | ||

You can't play that game against Swarmhosts, it doesn't work and the longer you wait the more certain your death is | ||

So I think Protoss CAN out turtle Swarmhost. Of course, it also depends how they come out of the mid game and the map. Like with mech vs swarmhost, protoss can get enough AoE so that swarmhosts do 0 damage. | ||

You need enough power to kill the locusts before they can do any real damage, and a shitload of tempests. Then, the only way the zerg can play would be to try and abduct your units while minimizing losses to tempests For every tempest/mothership of stats that was abducted by effort, stats' tempests managed to kill more than 2-3 corrupters. A tempest is worth 2 corrupters, and a mothership just slightly less than 3. So you need to kill that amount in order to break even. HerO had too many VRs that weren't very useful, and had 82 probes which meant that his army was smaller than it should be. An unusually high worker count works well in a situation where you constantly trade armies as the opponent cannot leverage on his bigger maxed out army. But in that war of attrition, it actually became a disadvantage. | ||

Effort didn't have enough static d in order to win | ||
