Yeah but 4 Baneling dropped from a ovie can kill an ENTIRE mineral line!

We need more Baneling drops. Why don't we see them more?

easier to just roll them in while terran is busy microing his army, almost a guaranteed kill

or burrow them 5 min earlier before the Terran expands to that location, then when MULES drops, Boom!

Oh now marauders are OP? What will be next?

I think I've seen claims about every single unit being OP by now.
(maybe with the exception of the corruptor)
"Marauder=OP" was a common theme in WoL beta.

Expensive, not very likely to succeed, does not dovetail well with any standard build.

But they're great in the mid to late game aren't they? How expensive is it to research and build a couple Overlords and Banelings specially for a Baneling drop on the mineral line?

Isn't it that currently Zerg wants gas in mutas? And if they have to, in banes. But getting drop tech and all might take away from the rush to the 40+ muta cloud

Late game ZvT terran will have turrets. If you can find a protoss base with no cannons maybe they can work. However Z usually will have their hands full dealing with the protoss army/zealot harass

Hey, you are talking to a race that complained for a while that they couldn't keep up with a 3/3 MMMM late game, while claiming to not be able to afford hive for 3/3 upgrades. You know, every Z build is so incredibly tight, that they can't do anything not standard o.O

It's not likely to work against someone with good multitasking and map awareness. You're just giving away precious gas most likely.

Also, trading banes for workers is often bad for zerg. For 8 banes and 2 OLs, even if you kill 15ish workers, you'd be breaking even at best. You need massive detonations to make it worthwhile.
