It is extremely strong and i feel the toss has to play WAY better than the zerg to beat it (and if the zerg plays it perfectly i think it is pretty much unbeatable).
I mean this just can't be future for ZvP, we don't need another broodlord infestor -.-

I feel like concept of infestor/bl/sh - is truly Zergish if i can say like that.
It's not same to "i like SH, they're fun to watch and incredibly interesting".

But if i could choose, i better give some other options for Protoss/Terran like Blizzard tries to do than removing/reworking totally total concept of SH/BL/Infestor.

DRG in game 3 made some major mistakes, and obviously doesn't have as much experience playing SH style. Heavy Rain is also not the greatest map for SH because of all the different paths one can take to attack. But because he overmade roaches instead of just making a wall of static defense, and the creep spread was really really weak, he lost important tech to some obvious warp prism harass that really shouldn't have done that much damage. And even playing terribly he still almost won the game in the end.

People don't understand how much of an advantage having FREE units that cost no supply, and no resources to produce, is in the late game. In the stage of the game where resources and cost effectiveness is so so important, having a free siege unit is incredibly advantageous, while at the same time requiring less expansions to keep up resource intake, and requiring less workers to produce the same amount of units. If you play properly you won't lose a single SH during the entire game, which makes them super cheap and cost effective, and there is literally no downside to producing them whatsoever. No shit you can't just remove a unit from the game, but honestly the design is just that bad. It's fucking terrible anyway you look at it. Almost every Zerg (besides Stephano) you ask says the same thing, that SH style is so incredibly boring to play, and from a viewer and fan perspective, it's extremely boring. Blizzard is making a huge mistake leaving SH how it is.

How does that make Protoss "op cheese race"? Why would anybody risk probably the most important tournament of their careers in GSL Code S by letting the Zerg get up to a composition that gives them an enormous advantage over them? That just isn't smart whatever way you look at it. If anytime you go for a macro game in PvZ you have to go against swarm host, there is absolutely every incentive to just end the game before that happens. And that's in no way good for the viewers, the players, or the game as a whole. Those are 3 key things that should be taken into account when designing a unit, and Blizzard obviously didn't do that, and the refuse to do that even now.

lol OK that's fine, and Terran's all bitched and complained for 4 months straight and finally Blizzard addressed the issues in PvT. So now when there's another issue that doesn't involve Terran's they won't say shit. So now it's our turn to complain so maybe they will fix this issue as well.

And honestly whatever your problem is with Protoss, it doesn't even compare in the slightest to SH in PvZ, so don't even try to argue that it is.

Z and T have been fightning the deathball and its ridicoulous cost-effectivness for years. Plz come back in 2016 when you have gotten really sick of it. I hate the SH as a spectator but dont tell me protoss arent winning against it.

Not to mention, Terran are *forced* to fight the protoss deathball every TvP because if they try to end the game before then, protoss can just laugh and click "F" on their nexus. Protoss on the other hand have a ton of all in builds in every matchup that can defeat superior players.

There no balance whine in this, this is called sarcasm, and is based on the fact that protoss is considered a bit too strong at the moment (a position that Blizzard supports, as shown in the patch they're currently working on).

If you don't laugh, fine, just move on, rather than calling it out "stupid". Not your humour, fine, leave those who laugh in peace.

9.00 Coloss coming out for Rain. Solar trying to hang on with Roach Warren, double evo and macro hatch
10.00 +1 halfway done for Protoss. Twelve workers killed by unkillable phoenix that a bronze player can micro
10.40 Infestation Pit and Spire for Solar, really clever
11.00 Lings attacking a third for Protoss but get warded away by like five units and an msc.
11.30 Protoss being greedy and getting tech all over


13.00 Corruptor/ling out and dancing around third but can't engage ofc
14.00 Mutas out and gonna attack the Protoss main as the phoenix are out of position
14.42 Fifth base for Zerg up and running
15.25 Zerg tries to attack the Protoss army but can they do anything??
15.50 Protoss takes down the fifth with zealot runby even though zerg has map control lol
16.13 Still phoenix around but colossus and VR's are dead but it doesn't matter really

There is absolutely no point in make a noncontributing post like yours. Why don't you actually put some effort into your damn post instead of saying that to opisska. And you know what, after the first Protoss op joke LR report it gets annoying fast for people just trying to enjoy the game. I'm sick of everyone who thinks they have to drop balance issues in this thread after countless years of bans. Balance whines aren't responsible for keeping food on the table for moderators, Nazgul ships them one slice of bread every week.

oh i think you shouldn't post without trying to understand a bit, it should be pretty clear it's in jest, and for someone who professes to only poke their head in every now and then, you probably shouldn't comment too much.

Not sure how people can use these games to comment on balance, pretty sure Rain and herO were heavy favorites compared to a long-suffering DRG and the relatively unknown Solar. These results were pretty expected.

There no balance whine in this, this is called sarcasm, and is based on the fact that protoss is considered a bit too strong at the moment (a position that Blizzard supports, as shown in the patch they're currently working on).

If you don't laugh, fine, just move on, rather than calling it out "stupid". Not your humour, fine, leave those who laugh in peace.


He's serving as a live reporter, not caster or commentator, similar to Seeker's translation, always like to sneak in his own stuff, very annoying.

Thanks for reading my second post and repeating exactly what I said. In fact I even clarified the stupidity post was what I was upset at. There's no need for your comment here. But thanks for giving me that warm and fuzzy feeling I look for in sc2 threads.

I just don't understand the mindset of nerfing out a unit that creates free units and then adding another unit that does the same in the expansion.

Idk what you all are talking about. Zerg needs to go SH or they will be at a huge disadvantage, if blizz were to change the unit they better change toss too, because sh play is the only way a Z player can beat a P player without a big disadvantage. So please stop complaining about SH when its the only way a Zerg player has a chance.
