lol everyone just takes the money and leaves? nobody wants to take a risk?

the entire concept didnt convince me so im not watching but the only fun part doesnt even take place. With that price pool you could have created something really awesome but this doesnt really work apparently

feedback: stronger team colours rules!
Can we help spread the word and create pressure to get Rob Pardo to replace Browder as head of Sc2? Pardo led the team for broodwar, frozen throne, and wow/BC. We need to make this a thing before LotV development starts. Think about it.

This ESGN venture is interesting. I agree the 90's gameshow feeling + the scantily clad chicks are a bit much. But if they tone that down a bit, it's promising. I hope they'll get the viewers they deserve.

Yeah I like the players and casters but the card girls are a bit cringeworthy imo

1/ ESGN needs to improve his format. Nobody ll never, EVER, E.V.E.R risks 500$ in another Best of 3 for .... just 250$ !!! I think +250$,+250$,+500$ for the first 3 wins seems better. But let's be honest, in Starcraft 2, Bo3 is too random unless one of the 2 players is waaaayyyy better and u know your next opponent AFTER u decide to play again. So i don't think they 'll never try a second games. OR, I think "money earned can't be loose" 'd be much much better !

2/ Replays hurts the HYPE. One month old Replays destroys the Hype with a big hammer !

3/ Plz improve, i love your (Hearthstone) show !

They also have to think about what type of broadcast they want to be.

Is it a weekly show? Or a small tournament? One game/different games? Which viewers do they want to attract?

So far, it seems it's not quite clear what the unifying idea behind ESGN is. I mean, they want to tap into the huge viewerbase for gaming that currently exists. But how are they differentiated from what's already available out there?

I feel like with all the money they're sinking into production and stuff, that they probably need more than a peak of 5k viewers. I'd love to read the business case for this project.

Unless there is some serious sponsoring we can't see (and what good does a sponsoring you can't see?) I fear their reports don't look promising. I hope for them to have some funds to keep trying and improving.

For all we know its Clauf (aka Azubu) who is funding this, and I guess we know where Azubu money came from.

On a related note, what ever happened to that big LYGF sponsor announcement?

Yeah, they said they'd announce the sponsor "soon". Guess soon is still an undefined term in esports

We are still waiting, they said they would announce it like 15 days ago...

The format definitely needs to be improved: the player that declines to go on and decides to take the money looses the right to play again and should not be re-invited again. The prizepool also needs to go increasing (for example 100 - 250 - 550 - 1200 - 2500 - 5500 - 12000).
Rooting for MaNa, Snute and Bunny. Europe holds!

Why would you punish the player if he chooses one of two legitimate options? Makes no sense at all , lol.

Actually, it sort of does, NarutO. Last week, on the Street Fighter edition, we along with Tasteless and Frodan watched Alioune play Xian with $10,000 up for grabs and it was perhaps the sickest moment in any Fight Night season in any game. I'm with you in that a player should never be forced to keep fighting or press his luck - that'd be just wrong - but the hype reaches crazy levels when someone goes for the big bucks, so there should be a way to reward taking risks.
All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them. - Walt Disney
