He did enough to win there, but if his army had been caught out of position then he was dead, because he wouldn't have enough gas to rebuild. Would it really kill him to throw up an extra three or four hatcheries around the map when he's floating 2k minerals? maybe thats his strength. with more hatcheries you temp to defend those when attacked and this might end in a bad fight with your main army. without those hatcheries he focuses on good engagements

How on earth is Protoss supposed to win in that situation? You're contained automatically, so zerg can just build up economy to remax in seconds, and never has to remake units because of the constant free units spawning. Meanwhile Protoss needs Colossus Storm, High templars, Tempest, Void Ray and like 5 bases to even keep up, so good luck defending all those areas while trying to counter attack and survive against the constant pressure from the swarmhost/broodlord/corruptor/infestor combo. Late game PvZ is a joke and if it wasn't so damn boring everyone would be doing this. You could, you know, not get all your HTs' fungaled at once, and do more warp ins to abuse the immobility of that composition. Both those compositions the Protoss and the Zerg ones are incredibly strong but they aren't unbeatable.

It didn't matter at that point, with swarmhosts and broodlords the Zerg's economy is so good it can just remake all those units easily, free units tend to make any engagement cost efficient especially going against Tier 3 Protoss Units that cost 300min 250 gas each, along with High Templars + Storm. Void Ray, Colossus, Phoenix, Tempest. It's ridiculous.

I agree, I think he doesn't get greedy with 7 bases cause he knows Rain will just warp in and kill them.

Obviously but it doesn't even matter, Zerg can just remake everything because of the cost effectiveness of FREE UNITS against Tier 3 units. It's impossible to come out ahead for the Protoss. And ya "more warp-ins to abuse the immobility" ok you try defending against that composition while at the same time saving warp-ins and units to counter-attack? Good luck buddy.

Had he still had those 5-6 HT with storm SK couldnt have just forced his way in with his corruptors.

Maybe gas income from extractor #9-10 but not worth it imo.
