Today really crystalized one of the big differences between the Korean players and the foreigners as I see it. It is clear now that many foreigners CAN play at a very high level and compete toe to toe with very good Koreans. But they seem to have trouble playing at that level with the same consistency at the Koreans.

Also known as inferior level.

True, that said the mechanical difference isn't AS massive as some make out.

Koreans seem a hell of a lot better at adjusting builds and timings on the fly, and generally make better decisions too.

Not in his best shape, but guys like MC make their timings work with such regularity, even weird ones, they seem to have some triggers mentally

Depends on the races. The difference between non-Korean and Korean Terrans regarding this is really huge, for instance.

Korean Terrans are superhumans, or perhaps androids.

Korean Zergs are mechanically a cut above, especially Jaedong/Soulkey/Life and those of that calibre. Peak Stephano and Scarlett weren't/aren't a million miles off though. Stephano is a case in point though, his on-the-fly decision making was truly sensational at his peak, as was his general gamesense and mental strength.

Protosses not so much. I think they have the capacity for sure, but there's just a bit less of a mechanical demand with that race.

For Protoss, it depends on the style played. If you were to watch the FPOV of people like Dear, Trap or PartinG while playing a Templar style in PvT, you would still notice a huge difference with a non-Korean Protoss trying to do so. Naturally, the differences are made partially irrelevant if both Protoss play a peaceful turtle style and aren't disturbed much while doing so.

For Zerg, someone like Scarlett even had better creep spread than many top Korean Zergs. But someone like DRG with his 250 eapm is still much faster than any non-Korean Zerg.

There aren't enough FPs of top Korean Protosses these days, shame really. Hopefully more guys will stream during the WCS off-season.

Is that Edward Norton?

Tons of good games: Dayshi vs. Hero, Incontrol vs. ToD to name a few.

Also Heromarine vs Leenock

Is that it for recommended games for today?

I'm not sure what "happy games" entails (which series?), but Dayshi vs HerO and Heromarine vs Leenock?

Wow I missed nearly all of today. MC out 0-2, never expected that. 1-2 vs ToD, that means MC is now at Incontrols level Happy and Babyknight looking really strong. Ro8 looks pretty tough for any player.

Picking Taeja for the finals. On the other side of the bracket it's a toss-up between the koreans I pick Leenock.
