Group C - Winners Match

kr (P)Dear vs kr (P)Oz

Game 2

Map - Derelict Watcher

00:00 - Oz spawns Top Right Dear Spawns Bottom Left
Fuck man I don't know dick about PvP
BUT LETS GET PUMPED

01:00 - - so 13 gates
which is a gate on 13 supply not 13 gateways. which would be the greatest build of alll time

02:00 - 2 gas from dear but only one gas from oz....SHENANIGANS
Core from oz
oh then he takes his gas...aight aight

03:00 - So zealot from oz whereas Dear is just happy getting his stalker and skipping

04:00 - MSC from both players
Oz getting his natural up pretty fast

the stalkers are almost avoiding eachother like you avoid the homeless man

05:00 - But instead the attractive charity worker pulls you over and you make eye contact
at that moment you have to talk to them
Stargate for Dear
Robo for Oz
Stalker pressure from Dear..

06:00 - Ok so oz has 1 stalker 2 sentries whereas dear has 3 stalkers...the nexus is losing
health...oh shit
oracle for dear being built
but the immortal is done and dear pulls back

07:00 - Meanwhile the nexus, robo and forge is building for dear
Oracle enters the base of dear
he kills 8 probes!!!

08:00 - However with the lack of gateway units, oracle harass and tech oz has a bigger
army at this point.

09:00 - OZ IS GOING HERE WE GO
OVERCHARGE
not great FF and Oz can push through
DEAR HAS TO RUN BACK

10:00 - OZ FF's the ramp and OZ pushes through
HE TAKES THE NEXUS
DEAR HAS NOTHING
GG

1-1

I missed the entire game, whoops.

I just saw like 15 units including like 3 immortals march across the entire, long map and Dear had 3 units at home...

Not necessarily. If you can be continuously producing units from existing production and keeping money low on 1 base, it's still pretty good macro. Just because it's a timing attack or an all in doesn't mean that key skills like macro isn't required.

Keeping money low on 1 base low isn't that hard and a progamer should be able to do it comfortably whilst harrassing. Calling it amazing is just ridiculous.

You sound hard to impress.

I'm fine with saying Dear had great micro and decisionmaking in game 1. Spending all his money on warp-ins and not getting supply blocked with that economy is hardly 'amazing'.

yes we get it. protoss macro is easy.

-.- Are you thick? I play toss and of course 2/3 base macro is hard and can be impressive. 1 base is simply not. Is it that hard to understand?

So many people wear Toronto Blue Jay gear but they don't go to the games or follow the actual team. It's pretty -_-;; it's a good way to win people over, right? Just like saying Canada or Toronto. :V

Can confirm I have a 2 Blue jays hats but hate baseball.

It is what it is. Only Canadian baseball team now anyway, not like that even matters.

They bought every good player and still failed! on the up side I'm still proud of whenever they do good in baseball or basketball regardless of how much I don't care of the sports.

Oh God, I really dislike the bandwagons. Everyone was singing for the fences when we landed that deal with Florida. Sure, we got a lot of good pick-ups in the off-season compared to the rest but I really wouldn't say we have every good player in the game. I love sports.

I love playing all sports, I can't stand watching most of them though.

That's a fair answer. One of my best buds is like that too. Cannot complain about that, but you do watch gaming. In fact, one of them is tagging along with me on Sunday.

Haha I don't mind watching hockey, I am Canadian of course, and I was supposed to go to WCS but my GF's mid-terms just had to be around the same fucking time -.-

Why not go with someone else? You could always meet us there you know.

I didn't bother booking it off so I work now It's ok though because there is always next time and I know I'll get to one eventually and when I do, it will be a glorious time

For me, the most difficult thing about macro is going back to macroing in time. To me, it really doesn't make a huge difference whether it's 3 units at once or 15 units at once that I make. It's just clicking the same key a few more times. Right?

Why don't they play 3 matches from each group altogether? Saving 3rd match at the end of the day is pretty hard for players, they play one series and then they need to wait half day to play another, they can't rest or go sightseeing.

yeah, it's actually less about "multitasking" in the sense of doing a lot of different things simultaneously and more about having an internal timer and being able to compartmentalize different elements of the game as they develop. same reason inject method makes no difference for low league players - the real issue is getting them to inject at the right time

If that's how you see macro no wonder you were impressed...

edit: The difficult part is balancing probe production/tech/building more production facilities and producing army whilst interacting with your opponent and adjusting to his play off a massive economy. That game Dear stopped probes, stopped tech after blink and just built units off 4 gate. It's not great macro.

But the guy is calling keeping ur money low on 1 base by producing units amazing macro. Dear is most definitely a fantastic player and he played game 1 very intelligently but praising his macro in game 1 really makes no sense to me. Most decent players would've been able to do the same thing in terms of macro.
Ganzi beat me without stim. Ostojiy beat me with a nydus. Siphonn beat me with probes. Revival beat my sentry-immortal all-in.

I would think it would be better for players, since they have time to rest and relax a bit. They can also have time to prepare a bit for their next opponent.
