Nope it's fine to say. They don't mean it's literally a must win game. Just that it's a must win cause in all likelihood the team/player is out if they don't win. Like in sports when a team goes up 2-0 in a series, game 3 is a must win for the other team not in the literal sense, but in that it's very rare for a team to come back from 0-3 down in a bo7.
and it sounds stupid when used figuratively, which is my point. there's no reason you can't simply say "it's very rare to come back from 0-3 in a bo7, so losing here would put them in a bad position"
Nope your way is needlessly long to say. Must win is a common phrase in sports and stuff. Just because you don't agree with it, doesn't mean that's not how it's commonly used.

Eh, I'm not getting mad, you seem to be. Also, it's not an opinion, but it's just fact on how that phrase is used. It's like denying saying the sky is blue.

it's just an observation dude. you are the one starting a meaningless argument. it's no different from when people complain about the music between games or anything like that, you're just making an issue out of what i said... it's just an opinion.
anyway, done with this, you guys are taking my opinion way too personally and it's not an important issue so not sure why people are getting so defensive about it
