It means "this is an important game to win, as losing will put your team far behind". And no one ever calls the first game must-win. People will bitch about anything, I guess. | ||

They don't mean it's literally a must win game. Just that it's a must win cause in all likelihood the team/player is out if they don't win. Like in sports when a team goes up 2-0 in a series, game 3 is a must win for the other team not in the literal sense, but in that it's very rare for a team to come back from 0-3 down in a bo7. | ||
