agreed. but marines can shoot up, their scaling is much more effective in the late game.

Most of you have great points, but at least make sure to say Polt deserved it after your complaints. Because he's an awesome player and you take that away every time you talk about balance.

If that's how it goes, whatever group gets Rain or Taeja will be the groups of death.
A group of Innovation MMA Taeja Bomber. TvT heaven.

Kind of a strange flip from last season's distribution which had 3 Protoss 5 Terran and 8 Zergs with 3 foreigners competing in total.

Lol but seriously, I do think Zerg can use a bit of a buff. Early to mid game hasn't changed all that much for Zerg imo. But then Zerg players stopped using Roach-Hydra as well, which imo was a very good unit composition.

I uh... shouldn't have bet with my inner fanboy... knew Polt was going to be unstoppable. Its shocking that JD seems to have more fans than Polt. This guy is studying in the US, learning english, practicing on his own on the ladder, and still winning ridiculously high number of tournaments. He is outclassing other people without the facilities and the infrastructure. He is a real talent! I was never into BW, so the lemming like fanboyism for JD is quite intriguing to me Jaedong single-handily saved Oz, ZvT and zerg all in the ballerest way imaginable. If you even touched bw its impossible not to be a fan.

They also have Stim, which compounds the upgrades even more.
Similar to how Adrenal Glands compound to help Zergling upgrades.

Technically, a group could get both yeah? Dun dun dunnn.
Is there any method to the group distribution? Like does each group have to have at least 1 of NA, EU and KR? Or is it just group leaders then random draw?

I feel MMA would not do so well in that group

The main issue in the current TvZ metagame is that zerg has not figured out their proper hive timing and swarm hosts are utterly useless against bio-mine.

Might have been North American in finals against the American. Might have been 4-1 for Polt, not the complete stomp. Either way: gratz Polt, good luck at season finals, especially considering you should feel comfortable across all those tosses and terrans (and JD with Scarlett lol). Well, you know, JD kind of wanted to win. Absolutely understandable decision, not gonna blame him on doing what he can to win (after all i was not blaming Maru for 3-0 1 basing/cheesing Inno into outplaying). But i can dream, right?

Not if you don't factor in Medivacs which most people tend to forget.
3/3 Marines on their own are basically on the same level as Zealots and Zerglings with the same upgrades if not weaker. It's their synergy with Medivacs that makes them appear so powerful.

I'm not saying polt didn't play outstanding. I think the issue gets shown more with better terran players. so the better players will show off the issues in a much more stated way.

After those games I legitimately considered a de-nerf of Fungal to help Zerg out, lol. And I seriously hate anti-micro spellcasting. :D

Also, you can't say you never followed BW and then call it 'lemming like fanboyism'. Just admit that you don't understand why he is special, and be open to an explanation.

How does Polt keep doing it? Does he still play on KR servers from Texas with low enough ping? He has no teammates either to have efficient/optimal preparation/practice for tournaments...Is he a genius? Nada? I mean he still goes to school fulltime as well...
