The more supply the better, but unit composition also matters. 200 supply of zerglings will not fare well against 200 supply of blue flame hellbats.
But no matter what composition you have, the more supply the better until you are maxed!

Even wasting the Marines was just lazyness, you pull them away load them into a medivac and the seeker hits were you picked up. If it wouldn't be so hyper effective to move Vikings into your opponent I couldn't wait till some lands a Viking and picks it up into a Medivac. Best way to use Seekers though is to use it and then targetfire/oneshot the unit you targeted. In that case the opponent can't do anything to prevent the Seeker from hitting where the perfect engagement distance for the opponent is. At worst you get an extra hit from them retreating or closing in, at best you pull it off in such a fast succession, that they don't even notice where the Seeker goes.

I'd say it's general SC2 game theory. You can make up for economy/army/tech with any of the other in any of the matchups!

Interesting thing about this is that if one aspect of this can completely overwhelm the other two, this generally implies imbalance. (i.e. Mules no longer get a bonus mining gold bases. Infestors/Hellbats/HTs with amulet.)

XY underrated here. He may have bad TvT, but he was still strong enough to make it to KR GM on ladder and he proved his ZvT is good.
