That VOD you watched is from the secondary stream (wcs_osl2), where the casters who are not casting sit in a couch with some guests and just chill. You might want to watch from wcs_osl or wcs_gsl.

As in we don't have to throw a party every time a foreigner takes a game off a korean. Maybe not in WCS America or WCS EU, but in old GSL's (old? Like three years ago. Wow has SC2 really been out this long???) Naniwa and other foreigners who could advance were the white man's King of Kings in starcraft. In BW there was a similar trend. Foreigners like Grrr (eSports hall of famer) and Idra had success with Koreans but eventually the Korean dominance takes over. More to the point, when Thorzain won a game in Proleague we did indeed throw a party. That is not in the "old GSL's" or 3 years ago for that matter. In the beggining you had Jinro and Idra going far, that was something like 3 years ago ![]() Then there was Huk...after that Naniwa. And even now, sometimes you get a win from a korean. Its still better than it was in BW. Also Idra had no success with koreans in bw. He was on Estro and CJ and was good in foreigner terms but Im not sure you can say he had success in bw with koreans. People forget guillaume patry and bertand gospellier Compare the game back then to how BW is now? You cannot even compare the two. We had so many eras man and that era was just as BoxeR was emerging. Add to that the almost always missing overlays during the Round of 16, confusing overlays in the final particularly, and English language casters having to guess when they should be able to access information properly by observing. It simply wasn't good enough, and I hope Blizzard are giving OGN a stern talking to for damaging much of the excitement that had been built up by MLG, Gom and (especially) ESL.

It happened to a lot of the greats in BW as well and once they've fallen. Only a few managed to claw their way back.

Having subscribed, the VOD-viewing experience has been incredibly poor compared to what I've come to expect from WCS up to this point. Mislabelled VODs causing me to look elsewhere for the "real" ones resulting in me coming across spoilers, no availability of main stream final VODs (yet) and an almost unbelievably poor second stream cast from Day 9 and Apollo as others have said. Once again Apollo and Day[9] weren't casting the games. If you wanted to watch commentary you should be tuning into OGN1 or the GOM cast. It's funny because everyone who tuned in and paid close attention to this LR enjoyed the couch more than OGN1 and the GOM cast. The mixing of the overlays was annoying, but lots of people caught it early. Unfortunately their production team didn't. As for Damaging the excitement? lol You got to be joking especially when you consider all the snafu's those other production teams had. Stop grasping at straws fella!
