At the same time, this is still the beginning of HOTS and the game is changing a lot, there could be some serious new contenders now. Even Life has been qualified as in bad shape because he lost two series to Innovation and Parting. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't think that the level of skill of the winners of the korean event is obviously a thousand times better than the other, we hype them as being so good for being twice in a row in the RO4 but we didn't bring any new player to prevent them aside from Mvp. I am very excited for the OSL to see if the same players are going to shine or if we are going to have some new very good talent. If it's true that OSL will be bo1 in the ro32 groups, and bo1 round robin in ro16, we could see very unpredictable results.

If sc3 is a game where the hardest working players don't win, then it won't be a game that i like to watch. ForGG works harder than Mvp. He didn't win. Hard work isn't the determinant factor nor should it be.

I just assumed it would remain GSL format, did you hear they might stick with their previous format? I wouldn't mind it for the sake of variety. I used to love the GSL group system a lot, then every WCS region started doing it I find it has lost its flavor (just imo)

That's fine, there is always also things like confidence and talent which are important. The later one was especially important in BW and still is somewhat relevant. I think ForGG was a bit unlucky, he made some moves which were questionable but that's what happens in SC2.

First, I couldn't find the vods on the WCS website, so I had to come into this thread to find the actual time the finals began. Naturally, the WCS website had already spoiled the results for me, as they are displayed on the right hand side. Secondly, Day9 and Apollo's casting was embarrassing. They either were sleep deprived, drunk or something else was seriously wrong. They weren't actually saying anything half the time, they whistling, going "dum de dum" and whatnot during the battles. I had to apologize to the people (not so into SC as me) who I showed the finals to. Third, the actual production was dismal. No good fillers, poor graphical presentation, awful sound. They even messed up the overlay in the last game (it showed sOs's supply as Innovation's, and vice versa). This is supposed to be the premier event and yet it was god awful. The games were nice, though. Watched every single one of them despite knowing the results.
