For example: any resident of a region can participate in said region. Blizzard claims the legalities of proving residency are "too difficult", but that to me is absolute rubbish. As an immigrant myself, it's clear that to be a "resident" of a country you should have some form of ID that proves you are a resident. I mean first off, who on earth would be a resident in a country and not have basic, portable identification to prove it? Second, if for some odd reason a person is actually "unable to prove residency" in their region, then the responsibility lies on said person to obtain the ID. Am I missing something here?

I agree with everything you just said. There is one rare case, like MC, who plays in the EU, but if I'm not completely mistaken, he's still a korean resident (ID)?
