Shit. Winners league format makes certain teams way stronger. Teams with one or two god-mode players become much stronger. If I'd have known this I would have done my Liquibet differently.

mass sh/hydra/viper + static defenses you siege the 4th of the P from like 2screens away and pull things into the hydras with vipers. P can't attack 10+ spores/spines
On May 04 2013 12:30 Topin wrote: can someone explain me the idea behing SH? i really dont understand.. what was the plan?
You want to have swarmhost and static on the ground, and corruptors + vipers in the air. Grab units over your static to kill them, and use the swarmhost to keep the templars from approaching in a costefficient manner. You can also use hydras instead of corruptors, I've seen both work. But you definitely need swarmhosts, otherwise when the protoss attacks into you it's too much of a trade and not enough of a faceroll.

10-15 mins downtime b/w sets... not to mention the endless technical difficulties which can add up to 20 or more minutes of downtime, is far more than what is needed just for ads.

10 mins top. Usually consistently 5-7 mins (4,5 ads + some leagues videos) then last game review. Today they have reduce the pre-game interview & stuffs so game starts 5 mins earlier. Dont exaggerate things

It's Korean cable TV. And you know how sports events usually have longer ad sessions to compensate for having to broadcast a whole game without breaks.

casters, I fiercely believe that with different casters proleague would be much more successful, not as much now as it would since the beginning.
I love PvP and I don't watch a lot of proleague. Casters are part of it, but the format doesn't quite do it for me either on the other rounds, I like it when you need to defeat a player before switching to the next.
I suppose the players having less history to me because I didn't follow BW is also a factor, but I'm starting to know most names, so that will eventually fade out.

That makes sense, the hybrid season was a pretty ungraceful way to close out BW and the quality of play in both games was poor. And a divide among the fan base would explain the varying support for the different leagues, although it's a shame if that's the case now that everyone is playing the same game.
