Between the EU scene being better than the NA scene and the EU scene having far fewer high-caliber Koreans competing than NA, things don't bode well for us.

There has to be a better and fairer method than this. I'd actually prefer pure invites so long as they used a logical method for choosing invites (unlike what MLG did). It's always been the case that random players can win or do well in online tournaments in Sc2. This is the latest in an endless line of bizzare and unexpected players winning qualifiers across all scenes.

It'll work itself out eventually, unfortunately it'll just take some time for the weaker players to get filtered out. At least it's not the original GSL format that made Ensnare immortal

Ye saw that too pretty sic run. I think he had HoBBiT also in round of 256, he only met one unknow player(and firecake who beat MorroW)! Love these tourneys where new players comes from nowhere.

MVPFinale is a solid player but not a great player. He has little credentials and basically the 3rd or 4th toss on his team. Secondly, latency issues EU vs Kor. It's worse than it is for Kor/Na Thirdly, Finale and MVP are playing in Korea, the tournament was like 11-6pm EST which is basically 1am to 8am..so they're not in the best of environments having to not sleep at all to play in the qualifiers.
