Lol its a qualifier.

And?

He went from total unknown (3rd in WCS Denmark, yay) to taking down MVPFinale. I call that a cinderella story.

So a cinderella story happens every single Code A qualifier?

No because they are already pro-gamers. Bunny is not. He is a just an amateur kid with apparently an incredible talent. This is how amateurs becomes professional. And its exactly how Blizzard intended WCS for

Incredible talent lol?

Well an amateur kid just beat a professional player from Korea? What would you call it?

Maybe because we want the EU money to be spend on promoting and supporting new EU amateur players like Bunny instead of greedy B-professional players from Korea.

Lol they are greedy because they want the money distribution to be based on skill rather than where they live? Hell it's not even where they live it's what they look like/the language they speak actually. If there was a European who had been living in Korea for the last few years and tried to play in this they would be rooted for a bunch.

I actually think the 1AM-8AM tournament time (in Korea) probably had more of an effect on the Korean players than ping.

They can make a name for themselves by working through Code B and Code A.

I think personally that the last 3 years of Sc2 should count for more in establishing this new league (which will be basically all that matters in Sc2 soon) than how you played in one online qualifier.

In fact it's absolutely absurd to me that it doesn't.

That is ONE tournament that is insanely stacked. Korea really has needed more outlets outside of the weeklies for their B-teamers and up and coming talent. The lack of such alternatives is why Finale and his ilk are playing in EU in the first place

Maybe because we want the EU money to be spend on promoting and supporting new EU amateur players like Bunny instead of greedy B-professional players from Korea.

Finale is a guy who most likely plays with no salary. Not only that, but the qualifiers for Code A are GRUELING and extremely difficult to get through. You call it greed, I call it common sense. If you needed to make money from progaming, what would you do?

Well I got np if he moved to Europe because that will grow a scene. I think most of you fail to realise what WCS is all about. But having professional players from Korea that cant hang with the best and then chose to go for the easy money grab its disgusting. If he cant make money in Korea will then he can get a job like most of the European pro-gamers.

Anyway I'm tired of this discussion. Gz to Bunny and Feast

You can say that about 95% of the foreign pro-gamer and you know what they do? they get a job or go to school. And that's why WCS EU is so important for the EU scene if we can get just 10% more full time pro-gamers the scene will start to grow much faster

When you've watched Sc2 from the start you learn a bit of perspective. The game has always been extremely random/unpredictable (much to it's detriment) and you can't read anything into isolated best of 3's or the results of one online qualifier.

At some. There wasn't one yesterday either.

But take Ggandol for example.

A cinderella story to me is bigger than just winning a qualifier. If Bunny makes a deep run in WCS thats a cinderella story. Scarlett and Thorzain are good examples of cinderella stories imo.

Korea could use a Code C and D even if it were online and community casted.

It's hilarious to me how happy people are with a person beating 1 Korean with terrible ping. Slim pickings?

Could people just shut up about horrible ping? First of all finale chose to play on EU because he wanted to get some easy gold, this is not something that was forced upon him. Secondly, you don't actually know if he had a horrible ping. I can play on KR perfectly fine even though i play from EU.

So what? Just because it's his fault doesn't mean there is less ping...
