Easy switch should be mutalisk, just micro around the protoss army to pick off immortals. Protoss can't make too many stalkers, cause all of the gas went into immortals and high templars. And mutalisks are better in other situations than swarm hosts too, once the protoss army evolves into other combination.

Swarm Host is like the new Nydus, every time someone loses, it's what he should have built to win.

1immortal beats 2hydras which is nearly even cost and even supply. And in higher numbers, the ratio increases even more due to the burst effect. And roaches to tank damage are extra counterproductive.

Upgrades scale better with the immortals too, since the extra hydra damage does not affect the hardened shields, and immortals start 4 shotting hydras instead of 5 shotting.

but there were more than just immortals, you still need roaches to tank those gateway units

Going to be very fun to see if MKP is going the old TvZ WoL style in that match up as well.

new units used in official matches by korean zergs is pretty close to 0, winning with them is 0 ^^

??? close to 0???
Look at tonight... Oracles. look yesterday tempests, swarm hosts, widow mines, hellbats, vipers, and oracles!!! Idk what game you watch my friend.

I don't think many zergs are using oracles or widowmines though

Swarm host haven't really been succesfully used yet in any of the matches I've seen. I'll give you vipers, those thing are pretty good, although the matches are often decided by the time they are out. And they still aren't enough to win lategame ZvP.

Pure hydra would have done better with all the immortals - roaches won't tank anything when they all die instantly. A much better choice would to have not gone roach hydra altogether. Pretty much any other tech - mutas, swarm hosts, mass banelings, broodlords - would have fared better.

People saying swarm hosts would have solved the problem are just blindly agreeing with artosis lol. Swarm hosts are bad on maps with multiple attack paths. They are so easy to avoid.

I still have to see a Pro game in which a player makes a Swarm Host and then not loses.

Pretty much. Especially against what Sos was already doing, constantly attacking all Soo's bases with Zealots and DTs.

In the Code A qualifiers today, Coca tried to go SHs on this map, got crushed. He lost all his bases to runbys, then died to an air switch that his SHs couldn't attack.

Except you don't need to mass that much SH. Its purpose for that game was not to defend too. It would be there to force storm from protoss. If protoss don't use storm and colossi they will lose some units to free locusts.

Swarm hosts need critical mass to be effective.

They are basically a bad version of infestor/bl and equally bland to watch and tedious to play against.
