Well, I remember h2h being used in many tournaments, and I really prefer it too map-score (in deciding point-equals). The contested players played each other and one player won. It is less important how well they did against the player placing 6th in the group.

when map score was the deciding issue then babyknight was out either way. both jonnyrecco and forgg had 3:1 matches and 8:3 maps so babyknight cant go through with 3:2 and 7:6.

If head to head is more important than map score then forgg is out and thats what liquipedia shows at the moment.

In a 3 way tie you cant usually take head to head because its like a rock-paper-scissor situation so you let map score decide.

What a disgrace. There's no point in placing point average after the score of the particular match because exaequo is not possible ! It's pretty easy to understand : you're looking for the best players of a group so you want to look at the group scores = the point avererage. Only if the point average is equal then you look at the match between the 2 players.

Everybody knows that and Forgg knew he was already qualified anyways so you can argue you changed the rules so you'd have to rematch the game.
