My point is that this tournament is sliced almost down the middle in terms of representation between Top Koreans from eSF and KESPA and Foreigners. The only foreigners who are even anywhere near the Koreans here in terms of overall skill level are Suppy, Ret, Stephano and Sen. When you just do a random pairing with no group stages for a single elimination bracket you end up with completely lopsided brackets. You've got actual contenders against each other in the first round like Polt vs Creator, Marineking vs Jjajki, Seed vs Rain and herO vs MC and then you have match ups like the two coming up that are essential byes for the Koreans and in a single elimination format it's incredibly frustrating watching it happen. To top it all off, two of the best Foreigners in the tournament are against each other in the first round when it would've been awesome to actually see them play against the Koreans to at least take a guess at where the foreign scene is. | ||
