Ret just waited for a good moment to engage with his more mobile force.
Don't judge that strategy on this game. He played it really poorly in comparison to what Mvp was doing yesterday. No drilling claws for the mines, never had more than 3 or 4, he was just generally over aggressive and attacking when he shouldn't have been, also mvp was doing smart stuff like adding tank armour for the mines etc.

Keep in mind that Sting isn't really using the strategy well, as the analysts just said.
I fully expect Ret to take this 3-0, with Sting incredulous and unable to cope. Ret vs YongHwa tomorrow should be exciting!

Man this is just beautiful My jaw is wide open.
Ye im sitting here with a cheesy smile and my eyes is wide open in disbelief! Crush 3-0 plez, and if he plays like this i don't think Ret - Yonghwa won't be that onesided!
No way, Ret has a realistic chance against Yongwha! He is the one zerg in the beta that figured ouut swarmhosts completely in zvp imo . Go Ret!!!!
Ye he definately got a chance, this serie ain't over yet though. But Yonghwa played so much better than Sting in his group, i'd say Sting was the weakest out of the koreans to advance, so that's why im hesitant. I'm hoping tho!

Oh he didn't have the faster burrowing? Ah that will make a huge difference.

YongHwa is actually my favorite to win the tournament, placing slightly over MVP.
Still looking forward to see the really good koreans face off against each other this tournament! Especially Violet vs Mvp or Yoda, if they get to finals that is. Sting just doesn't seem to have the same strategies developed as the IM players, which is not weird considering the team situation.

Not a bad prediction, but i think that the winner of Yoda/Parting will take out Mvp. Hard to say, the semifinals will be very strong games, shouldn't count out Violet either.

Seems like the widow mine takes skill to use, who'd have thought. People should still withhold their judgement of the unit, and not use Mvp as the standard example.
Well the other guy used Sting as an example of why the strat sucked. I've seen many other terran players play the style effectively, not just Mvp.

You need to space them out and kite the enemy over them so they each hit individual pockets of enemy units. Burrowing them in a group and sitting on them with your army when the enemy comes in is just horrible.
And drilling claws turns them from dead supply into a lifeline when you're caught surprised and out of position.
