commonplace, because many people are inexperienced with all the new stuff. Terrible damage stuff is important though, unless you want tons of slow death games. Makes the game a ton harder though.


Personally prefer the more consistent damage in BW. Its interesting because the "terrible damage" ends up making the game less accesible to new players - the opposite of what the dev team claimed to be doing.

Banshees at the start of wings of liberty would get 15-25 kills all the time. Then people learned the timings ... learned how to defend it etc at that point getting 5-6 kills was concidered very good for a banshee.

It's not so much that they get that amount of worker kills, but that it's close to instantaneous.

Anyway yeah, MVP is looking really potent, I don't even think Mana played that badly but MVP pulled him apart.

He was playing sloppily before that point though. Most importantly, he was supply blocked, which meant that he couldn't warp-in to defend the drop at the main. Attacking in three place is a lot easier than defending in three places at the samw time.

How is it easier when you factor in the defenders advantage with stuff like warp-ins and nexus overcharges? Terran also needs to kite with each drop/army to get the most out of them.


Because the defender doesn't know in advance that he's going to get attacked in 3 places, while the attacker knows what to expect every time. Even when scouted it still isn't easy to split the exact right amount of army.

Of course there is the element of surprise, but scouting can help fight this. Overall I just disagree with this generalization of attacking being always easier than defending, its so dependent on the unit comps and how much attention they require from the player.

MVP playing like MVP is still pretty scary. That was a vintage performance, perhaps part of the reason he fell off at the end of WoL was because he was playing too much HoTS.

Blizzard stated that the make things a bit too powerful at the beginning so that they are being used at first and they get feedback. they feel more confident in nerfing than buffing.
