The usual rules apply. No caster/player bashing etc. |
So fucking happy to see that Ret is going to advance. After most of 2012 I felt that he had lost his focus and drive to succeed but I'm glad Jos is proving me wrong.
Also Yongwha made the right choice going to IEM and skipping out on GSL. He'll probably get more money here and be able to get through Code A pretty easily in HotS.

Ret is absolutely ripping everyone apart. On a side note, I'm a little surprised at LucifroN.

Imagine a man walks up to you with pistol in one hand and says "Stand right there and let's have a fistfight." You don't want to get shot so you freeze, and he proceeds to pummel you into unconsciousness with his other hand. Then he goes and brags to everyone how beat you in fistfight fair and square without using a gun, and that's he a better Boxer than you. You'd respond: Yeah, you might not have used that pistol, but I had take into account that at any point you could've shot me. If I'm playing against Zerg, I always have to account for the fact that Infestor BL could be coming. For example, when a Zerg goes mass Mutas, you'll often see a Protoss attack to quickly and chewed up by Zergling Muta, or lose a base trade, because he knows mass spines and BL Infestor could always be on the horizon. Even if Nerchio never used BL Infestor (which he in fact repeatedly did), part of his success would be based on that strategy. This is a brilliant way to expose the facts. What was 2base immortal sentry then ?
You lunge forward without getting shot in the face. Very hard to pull off, but possible.

I love this. I was about to ask what the immortal/sentry all-in was as well.

It's due to the event being part of Cebit and their hours. Same for gamescom.

Can anyone say something about Rets drone count during those games?

WoW WoW there QXC, you are messing with the TL IEM preview there with you saying Yoda is creative.

So excited to see Ret succeed. I hope he comes far in the tourney!!
Gogo Liquid`Ret!

ret needs to win at least 1 map to be first, right?
if Yoda wins 2-1, the both are on 4-1, but ret on +6 maps and Yoda on +4, so ret advances if Yoda wins 2-0, they both are on 4-1 and +5 maps, but Yoda won 1 more map so Yoda advances
right?

TBO linked the IEM rulebook a few pages back, and according to it you are correct.

But obviously you can't just a-move.

I think you are right, even if that one more map doesn't count as better, Yoda won head to head.

It was an all-in based on the wish to kill the zerg before he gets infestor broodlord. Do you think we enjoyed having to flip like that in order to play you?

Looks like you can't be safe while making just Drones and Queens now.
