The usual rules apply. No caster/player bashing etc.

I am pretty sure IEM does overall map score first. It is actually the case for most tournaments. It is just that in Bo1 round robin, overall map score is the score. This rewards players for going 2-0 or only losing 1-2.

You are right. Not sure how they would break 8-3 vs 9-4.

check point 7.4 (page 22) , according to my understanding of it, Ret just needs 1 map so he is ahead in map difference. If he loses 0-2 he'd be tied in map score but has less wins and loses out on criteria nr 2.

Wot? Nerchio is know for a lot more than infestor/brood lord and didn't build his success off of it.

All vs Zerg matchups in WOL are played in the shadow of Infestor Broodlord.

Let me put it this way. Imagine a man walks up to you with pistol in one hand and says "Stand right there and let's have a fistfight." You don't want to get shot so you freeze, and he proceeds to pummel you into unconsciousness with his other hand. Then he goes and brags to everyone how beat you in fistfight fair and square without using a gun, and that's he a better Boxer than you.

You'd respond: Yeah, you might not have used that pistol, but I had take into account that at any point you could've shot me.

If I'm playing against Zerg, I always have to account for the fact that Infestor BL could be coming. For example, when a Zerg goes mass Mutas, you'll often see a Protoss attack to quickly and chewed up by Zergling Muta, or lose a base trade, because he knows mass spines and BL Infestor could always be on the horizon.

Even if Nerchio never used BL Infestor (which he in fact repeatedly did), part of his success would be based on that strategy.

The format isn't quite fitting for that. Well played by Proleague.

They both would be 4-1 and Yoda would have advantage due to head to head matchup win, unless ofc First wins aswell then it's map score because 3 players 4-1.

Well, all PvZ was played in the shadow of the sentry immortal all-inn. PvZ was rather bad, there was one all-in and one timing (pre-Broodlord) on one side and a late game composition on the other side. And not much fighting outside this timings before lategame.
