It's more a marketing scheme than a new unit.
Yeah, I have to agree. It doesn't really make sense to me how a upright hellion suddenly becomes biological.
It's okay. It doesn't make sense how units can have bonus damage to armored yet no bonus to light, when in reality if something can wreck through heavy steel it should do about 5x more damage to that isn't as armored. Terran technology is improving. If only mech had the science vessels that heal them :D
Agreed. And you can't really use logic to explain things like why some AoE does friendly fire and why some don't. It is there for balance purposes.

A little OT but it can make sense. e.g. depleted uranium bullets will do way more damage to a tank than a napalm round would (example pulled out my uhh hat), whereas it would do not a lot more than a solid metal slug would to a hypothetical biological unit, i.e. go straight through it without doing much, (as long as it didn't puncture a major organ).
Incidentally this is why hunting with regular, solid, battle-field bullets is illegal (low mortality rates - animal more likely to suffer than die), and going onto a battlefield with standard 'soft'-hollowtip hunting bullets is also illegal (high mortality rates - person more likely to die than be put out of action).

Playing HotS from the start won't help those who could not do it in WoL apparently (not talking about SeeD, but since he played it before MKP I think, streaming it and stuff, without having any advantage, it looks grim for the foreigners)
What do you mean 'a few days of practice'? Pretty sure he's been playing for quite a while, reaching #1 GM on HotS etc.
Anyway cool to see these new Terran builds, new options is always good. Those Hellbats really improve lategame Terran vs Chargelots which is a good thing. GG MKP.

That account got to rank 1 GM in only a few days of use I'm pretty sure. Wouldn't take MKP long to learn some abusive hellbat BO's to crush nerds on ladder with His ladder games always were under 10 mins usually, on WoL as well.

Didn't it take him like 5 days to reach GM #1? He's not your usual fan-favorite streaming foreigner with a barely over 60% winrate. Plus, he spammed a lot of gas first all ins to make it quick. Judging from how Maru is spamming proxy 11/11, I think they have a little competition going on :D

Similar post at the same time!!
You guys might be right, that KTFlash account entered GM on February 10th. Still though, he cranked out 200 games on it already, and there's also the MaruPrime account with 300 games which someone said was a shared Prime account. The LucyPrime account he used for the showmatch has primarily Protoss games on it so I don't think he plays that one (has 400 games on it too, though).
So yeah pretty impressive by MKP, though I have to say that going from WoL to HotS is not like having to completely relearn everything. Just understand the new possibilities and go with it, 200 games should be enough to get a decent grasp on that :-)

He reached it in three days I read somewhere. Why would he practice it before he had code S iron squid etc.
Finished watching VODs on twitch of this BO7 series... The balance of HotS is a trash, indeed. Mines are generaly OP, hellbats are retarded, medivac speed costs nothing - this is just stupid. And tanks no longer need siege development - whitch makes it so cheaper and faster timing with toss have to be on mostly stalkers to kill mines and medivacs loaded with retard hellbats... Hope blizzard will fix this till release cause its imposible to watch these shitty unbalanced games.
And pretty good commentator. I'd say too novice-friendy, but still good.

and so we're back to terran op whining . The circle closes with the new expansion :D
(while I agree on hellbats and reapers being broken, I really don't see an issue with widow mines and tanks, lol!)

Ye, I'd guess that at the end of HotS (before Legacy of the Void) zerg will be OP with Locusts doing 30 damage vs ground and air, etc and only toss will have the worst times as always winning the least
But on seroius note... Its insane, toss have to do like 6-8 stalkers just to def from mine-hellion(bat) drops. Sentries are now useless unit cause broken supervacs can fly anywhere in a second and then after stabilizing and trying to go for some tech - 4-6 siege tanks incoming with tons of hellbats and you have only useless stalkers and couple zealots. I saw same shit on Grubby stream when he lost almost all games when terran did this with good execution. Ye, I guess its hard to execute good but still... Mines are OP cause you cant counter or all-in early.
Ye, maybe protoses will figure out some good builds that will work, but I guess without patching it wont work.

Yet it was fine for the last 8 months in TvZ?lol
I'm not watching any games with zergs in WoL last half of a year, for known reason )))
After watching the games I need to say medivac cooldown is too little, and hellbat needs some kind of nerf, maybe eliminate that biological type is enough. On other hand, happy to see tanks and mines work!

ByuN did mention in his interviews that a lot of his teammates were plaing around with HoTS and he kind of got caught up with it as well even though he had to play WoL in Code A.
Terrans aren't OP in HotS, the other races are just slow to adapt, as they've always been in WoL. There's something about the Terran race design that makes all the most strategically savvy and adaptive players prefer it, leaving few such players for the other two races.

Having more options..?
idk about protoss but zerg actually has an excuse in that you need to have a fair understanding of the game to succeed in order to maximize greed and play reactively. Also, in terms of the community I feel Zerg by far has been the most active in trying to develop solutions hell we started the whole ____ help me thread thing.
