Even having, say, dreamertt advance again would be better than 3+ players who nobody has ever heard of, and two more who are known for being very bottom of the barrel (in SC2) in terms of 'notable' kespa players.
Sigh...
how is it dumb? kespa practices harder than esf, that is obvious
isn't it more exciting to have new blood anyways

What? Only the best of the best make it into code a. Who cares if you havent heard of them, the are obviously more deserving of the spot. This is why we cant have nice things.

Only if they don't drop out 0-2 in the first round of Code A.
Plus because they're all KeSPA players you can almost guarantee it, because they barely practice for the GSL at all. As they've been insisting in interviews the entire time.

New blood > old blood. Far more interesting in my opinion.
Well, Seed got through though. And that's #1 priority for me.

So does Scarlett play in these?

I disagree as well, I like these results! Many Kespa players in, Seed in and hopefully Rain in. Only Bisu not making it is depressing of course

lol, his comment wasn't even kespa vs esf. Most of the known eSF players are already in Code A/S. A lot of known Kespa players didn't make it through today. Personally, I like seeing new blood. But some people like to see the big names get through.

Oh and by the way, why is this has to be called "preliminaries" while code S matches for the same season are beginning like a week before !? I think "code A qualifiers" would be much better.

Looking at match histories, it looks like Miya 1-1 aLive and Rain 1-0 Acacia at the moment.

As I said, new blood would be fine, but only if they step it up.
I'd much rather see an MMA, SuperNoVa, CranK, BeSt, Lucky, Hyvaa or aLive get through, because we know they have a good chance to stick around and put up a fight, where as Barcode Toss who has never played a televised match in their life, as history TELLS us, is incredibly likely to just lose 0-2 in embarrassing fashion. It's always been that way, since broodwar.
Feel free to quote me and laugh when they win. But until then...

AFAIC I'm actually already hating the unknown terran who has just qualified by beating Bisu. Hope he'll be 2-0ed in an embarrassing fashion.

anyone know if Rain got through?

Rain 2-0 Acacia, returns to Code A.

As expected. It's only after seeing more of Dream that we sort of realise Rain was unlucky to run into DreamvP.
But still, he doesn't look as infallible as he did in OSL and season 4. Still a higher chance of Code S though.

fuck yeah Rain
also Wolf said on twitter that a barcode beat Lucky to qualify
|
|
and aLive 2-1 Miya to finish day 1.
