Even if Puma wins, I think we all agree this is a bad pick. If he doesn't win, we have an ace match it shouldn't have happened.

Yeah, it is. That's kinda my point. But so is everything else. I think stargate is the best option to scout with first pheonix and then decide whether or not to build more of them. If he went DTs you'll scout it in time I think. If he went blink, expand and get a robo. If he went stargate, expand and add more phoenixes. If he does anything else... well, you're not worse off then usual.

Serious question, how fast can you get an observer to the other side of arkanoid from the time the game starts? Also if it turns out he'd not 4 gating but expanding or going stargate or whatever how far behind can you be? I think it's a clever build, I'm just wondering if it's worth it to always prepare for the possibility of it.


Depending on spawn positions and opening, i feel like it would be between 7 and 9 minutes depending on how lucky you are.

Then you get there, see he has 2 nexi and more phonixes than you have stalkers (say if he's doing free's build) and you are completely and utterly fucked with no chance of coming back because you are about to lose 25 probes.


Or you could be doing free's build and then 2 WP DT's drop into your base with another one on the way. This map IS the definition of coinflip for PvP.


Then jangbi comes in and 4gates all these retarded builds xD

There is no build that can get 1/2 observers, 2 immortals, a warp prism, be safe vs a delayd 4gate, with enough econ to keep up with a greedy opening and able to defend mass phoenix. Just the two immortals and warp prism make that impossible.

Even if he wins it's barely cause for celebration with regards to the team's overall standing. i mean yeah it's early days yet but * shakes head* I don't see it getting any better once tournament season kicks into high gear again and the team is often spread across continents.
