I find it quite funny to tab back in to see why the stream went mute to see it crashed, only to refresh into a paywall sub screen ^_^ yea I'd totally pay money for the stream crashes!
<3 to HSC tho, I'm sure they're pissed about it as well and HSC is the best tourney to follow.

Problems yesterday was with the routing between TaKe's place and TwitchTV. I think they resolved it by setting up a VPN.
Today some hardware is failing on the main stream. They don't simply use XSplit/software capturing but professional and expensive equipment.

It doesnt work fine it constantly loops ads and the reason I know its twitch is that its doing it on the beyond the summit stream as well

I think the timing of the tournament is a bit dubious too, so close to Christmas. Might impact viewer counts? At least for me it does.

There also were close to zero stream problems at those if i remember correctly. Yesterday was horrible and it seems it starts getting horrible again.
First day was okay though.

I subscribed because I've subscribed to everyone since I think 3? I'd still sub even with the crashes just to support them. Yea the stream is fucked but they still have one of the best tournies around.

No tournaments get a lot of viewers anymore. Hell, right now LoL and Dota have more twitch viewers than a major SC2 tourney. If things don't change in HOTS things are gonna get bad.
At least it's getting a little more popular in Korea, I wouldn't mind SC2 being mostly PL and GSL.

Often times, both of the things people complain about (Routing, ISP lag) is not something Twitch.tv can do. Twitch.tv has a relationship with their ISPs. You have a relationship with your ISPs. You can both bitch to your respective ISPs. If the problem is a third party, or even fourth/fifth/sixth - you're fucked. Routing is not something static. There is no central "routing authority" that you can say "ISP Z is firking up traffic from ISP X to ISP Y!" and Get Something Done.
This is not something that only happens to Twitch. It has plagued others as well. Get over it. And stop assuming the problem is Twitch.tv - maybe it's Germany. Or, hell, maybe for some reason your specific traffic is being routed through Telestra, and we can all blame Australian ISPs. (Has happened.)

yeah. They had a problem with the HQ stream for maybe an hour but that was it. Hope it will get better. I want HSC to do well!
