Yea Xlord would have win assuming both players play evenly, but it was not 100%. Bomber's done re-games in situations more "one-sided" than that (tech/supply/econ advantage).
But yea that's all fanboi talk.

XLORD must be hanged! BBBBBut the game wasn't 100% and that is all anyone is saying. It was about as 100% as you can get without typing GG... Stephano had lower eco, worse army comp, and a smaller army to top it all off... He was dead. If MKP got a re-game, Stephano should also get a re-game.

Oh damn! Not good! Not good for EG indeed. What is Alex thinking? It's all about exposure and not the actual results.
He's trying to limit any damage that little incident might have had in discrediting esports with its unprofessionalism.

Then don't send your fucking players. Everyone is replaceable. Like I said, there have been many scenarios in BW and SC2 where there was no re-game when a player had an advantage. The only sloppy thing was them airing it live to everyone else.
Don't do that. You can explain your decision after but I wouldn't show the live feed on the panel.

Has nobody gotten the memo about resume from replay? Resume from replay is a BETTER solution than lan, from a game resiliency perspective.

Hard to call, but I'm leaning towards giving XLorD the win...
Also: Ppl are discussing here that they want a serious eSport, yet get outraged when XLorD insists on his win and are proud of stephano for just giving him the win and say he's the bigger man?
XLorD wanted the win, Stephano didn't seem to care and I don't really think XLorD needs to behave like a perfect gentlemen in a Situation like that.

What has this to do with "being a man".
Survival of the fittest: If anyone was in XlorD's shoes he also would want the free win. Some players might say "hey, let's regame" because that is expected form them (WhiteRa comes to mind).
In the end, the decision was made and no one can do anything about it anymore....

How the fuck do you hate on xlord for defending his win? hate on blizzard Why don't we just end all games at that point, because the victor is certain? How about ending all games at 30mins by decision like other sports? The reason we don't, and the reason people keep watching past that point in a spectator sport, is because anything can and will happen. Have you ever turned off a stream early because gg and missed a comeback?
the difference is that if you would regame the player in favour of the win gets a disadvantage for no reason

To award a win instead of regame you have to be in a position where basically just a-moving is enough to win. It's not fair to assume anything
So only Bogus can be awarded wins in case of a disconnect, is that what you're saying? :p

Don't make the fucking players make the decision. NO ADMINS TO DECIDE? Voting would have been even more retarded.
Like TLO said it's not even near sure who would've won. This started to feel so god damn unprofessional.
Also, XlorD seems to be a dick. Well not like I'm surprised, but it's 100% sure I'm never going to like a player like that. Swearing and screaming "I WON THAT GAME LOOK AT IT", seriously? I don't like Stephano that much but jeez, at least he had the balls even though it was wrong as fuck.
My good mood is over and I'm glad I didn't buy the ticket. You would rather have some random admin decide than three professional zerg players? Yes tournaments have admins and "referees" for a reason. And they even told the viewers the admins are discussing the situation, but no, then they weren't the ones to decide. OFC it's not players who should decide if an another player won or not. But like I said, TLO was the one who had the best opinion of the situation. Well Stephano earned my respect and XlorD lost it all. Why do you think TLO had the best opinion? Because it's the one you agree with.
TSL3 Boxer vs Nightend disconnect was decided by Nazgul and random players they sent the replay to review. It's not super unusual.

XLORD should have never interefered the discussion. both players have to sit quiet at thier PCs and the onlything they can say is that they forefit the game. and one ZergPlayer should have listend to both of them, so he knows what both are thinking about the game.

I understand he was ahead, and he has a right to say so, but being whiny and then arguing after he is given, and yes it was given, because he was ahead, he hadn't won yet, the free win is just acting like a child. So I disagree, I see exactly where they are coming from.
The whole situation was mishandled, but he didn't exactly make himself seem level headed or anything beyond a spoiled adolescent.

Is this honestly your first time seeing things like this happen? I'm quite intrigued with all the guys up in arms about this because guess what? This happens frequently when the advantages can be spotted. Good on Stephano for debunking it and showing good sportsmanship. I honestly think this is the closest game ever where a win was given to a player, just look at previous examples. There need to be general rules for these situations, the way this was handled was unacceptable imo
