fucking hate SC2 for making me watch this instead of perfect muta dance and donglings micro we could have seen today. We could have seen Horang perfect simcities for one more year. We could have seen Flash sharp timings and godly management. Bisu PvZ engagements and Jangbi storms. We could have witnessed all this art instead of watching this. fkc this life

While infestors tend to have a deathwish it was still sloppy control from the bw player most renowned for unit control.

Not the same time, not the same game.

Really guys, relax, hack is pretty good and jaedong still has a chance in up and downs.

Some people understood it quite early, that SC2 does not bring anything new and unique that is making you jizz your pants. And they also understood that TBLS/A-class players will probably lose their trademark values as these were deeply connected to BW 'metagame'/how the game worked.

So, let me recap
Kespa player wins : OMG, that BW macro!!! Elephant stomp!!! Look at that multitask!!! Godly!!!
eSF player wins : Blah, whatever... It is SC2, everyone is the same and it takes no skills...
Calm down. The game is different and it will take time to adjust. Some players will adjust faster/quicker, and some will adjust slow and some won't adjust at all.

This. I'm surprised he actually has gotten this far. For some reason he was seeded into code s and lost horribly and bombed out of gsl faster than anyone can say LeeSsangRok. At least he managed to requalify for code a but for some reason he still doesn't play all that well. I didn't see his match with sirius in ro48 but his ro32 match with losira was a joke where losira played some of the weirdest games that even the otherwise forgiving wolf couldn't pass without question. In the series today neither Hack nor Jaedong played particularly well but I guess that throwing away countless lings for little to no gain and trying to ram tanks with infestors eventually makes even zerg lose a game or two.

I thought BW fans believed in the elephant theory.

I don't care if it is also a great game, it is different. We, the tl community, loved BW and would still enjoy it if not this. Nobody had a single thought why should somebody replace BW. Replaced it was. Who asked for that?

Thank you for your thought and input on this matter, Mr. Nazgul.

There are several reason but here are the biggest 2 :
Blizzard - Don't think too many people were buying copies of BW and they want to sell more SC2 expansions
Kespa - The popularity of BW was declining in Korea and the international fanbase has always been a small but hardcore group
Look, it is a business. If you can find a huge sponsor who would pour money into BW, it probably would have lasted longer.

The problem is that in "adjusting" to the game, players actually lose a lot of quality and what made them worth watching.
Look at Rain's PvZ against Soulkey from two seasons ago at Neo Beltway, and look at how he plays now... he's adjusted so well and now his play is bleh. Making the right units at the right time, that's it. He's good at it but there's nothing to see.
An "adjusted" Bisu would no longer be Bisu at all - because Bisu wouldn't build Colossi and Bisu wouldn't sit and play passively, but now he has to or he loses. Jaedong with Infestors and without Mutalisks is not Jaedong, just some random Zerg. Only the Terrans can really show quality play because SC2 Terran is pretty decent still.
