On the other hand, drones are precious in BW, losing 2 drones will be heart breaking in early game. Even late game, 5 or 10 drones is still a big deal. | ||

Of course you also need reasonable unit design. Qxc is describing it pretty nicely in his new "podcats" or whatever the name. It would also be interesting if Blizzard instead of nerfing units (nerfing buildings and research is ok most of the time) buffed other units in a way that skilled player could use them much more efficiently. But that would probably require ignoring lower levels of play and Blizzard won't do that before final expansion is out, and after that there won't be a way to do that. | ||

RIP viewer numbers Lets theoretically say Blizzard is correct, the game is more balanced than it has ever been. It still leaves an issue of a decline in viewer numbers which they can't refute. The game is currently so stale and predictable that there really is no point watching it anymore. TvZ, which arguably was the most entertaining and balanced matchup has gone to shit. The most memorable match for me was the LG finals, where it was sc vs DRG, and sc literally split marines for nearly two screens against banelings (previous to infestors being commonly used). Units such as the infestor make these moments impossible. I'm really worried that HOTS is going to end up the same way as WOL - a boring and stale game, making me hesitant to purchase HOTS until I see real improvement from Blizzard. | ||
