It's a slippery slope. He should probably be punished, or at least his team should demand him offer an apology.

I think it's more likely that TB offers him a high-five for it.

This is true. You don't like fungal? MOBAs will be like water torture.

err you're comparing mechanics between 2 types of genres?

You get a lot of stuns and general anti-micro abilities in War3 as well fwiw. War3's spell interaction is a lot less one-dimensional than SC2's though, since you have factors than can mitigate anti-micro spells (burrowing under ensnares at the right time, staffing, dispells, etc.).

I slowly stopped watching tournaments as they are becoming zerg fests. After first day of IPL I gave up even on major tournaments. Watched GSL today and I hoped Bogus will at least show some light. Now back to not watching this crappy game.

If any apologies are to be issued, it should be Blizzard offering one to the community and all pro players for the mess they've created and are repeatedly refusing to address. Even without considering balance, ZvX is horrifyingly dull for a spectator.

This does bring forth a question though
Almost every interview nowadays, you'll see something along the lines of "I don't want to face a zerg" or "playing against zerg is very difficult right now" or "infestor good unit, hard to play late-game" or some other kind of not-so-subtle balance whine. Where do we actually draw the line? I mean, people will watch GSL interviews, they'll watch MLG interviews, they'll read all the interviews that teams like Acer throw out.

This guy has brought up some good points, you should all give it a read.

when a unit dies of fungal/while fungaled it becomes an infested terran -> this change makes perfect sense and would solve a lot of balance issues in the game.

no, it'll be infinite line of armies from Zerg and also that's not including fast lings and reinforcement

What happens in Z v Z..... NEVER. ENDING. WARS.

Holy shit...endless amounts of free units. Not that there aren't enough already, but still.

I hope the finals ends up like this

ZvZ in BW wouldn't be half as interesting to them, lol.

Man I miss BW ZvZ... So unique and beautiful, almost like an artistic painting. It's not the kind of things one can explain with words Sc2 ZvZ looks so conventional and boring tbh, but it's still a good matchup.

Not saying he's not right, nor that blizz shouldn't figure out a fix already. But throwing a hissy fit in the middle of a game isn't good for the sport.

No whining in-game (as it is now) seems like an appropriate place to draw the line.

whats with TL nowadays.. everyone playing terran or what? During the years ive been on this site never has balance whine been this extreme as the late couple of months.... go play zerg if you think its that easy to get good.. Im not saying the game is obviously fine but its fucking sad to see "zerg imba" when a zerg wins and more or less people saying that the Terran always played better.. this is obviously not the case. The zerg skillset is just not as visually obvious as the terrans is. you dont do fancy micro as zerg but the base mechanichs must be ridicolously good to get to that level. its not a-move... gah, im so tired of all the whiners.. you're the guys that truly are ruining e-sports.

I play random. My w/l with the 3 races are:

Terran: 33%
Protoss: 55%
Zerg: 80%

wow... Amazing decisive proof..

Since our win rates mean stuff my ZvZ is 70% right now while I barely ever beat Protoss...

Haha, well played. I sadly can't play Zerg to go and raceswitch and then claim they're easier because my hotkey layout would have to be completely re-worked

Be like me! Three hotkey setups :D
Trolling in bronze all day every day

I don't want to troll though I want to see if Zerg would give me the boost/ez mode that some people claim. I got my Terran to slightly below my Protoss level pretty damn quickly because I'm (relatively) good mechanically.

Learning another hotkey layout would be such a pain to try and prove a point, especially to my friends who play Zerg but are terrible at the game. Actually, I may have to do this now, pettiness ftw!

I did not watch much of BW before it "died", but I watched all BW dailies and Sayle's casts and I have to say as somewhat of a newcomer to BW I loved watching ZvZ.

Yeah, racial distribution is a problem, since few people enjoy watching ZvZ (or PvP for that matter). TvT at least had variety due to different play styles (marine-tank, bio, mech, and the occasional sky).

I had more greater then sign, IM RIGHT

SC2 ZvZ is pretty boring. ling/muta micro battle is way more intense. One ling can change the whole battle.

Dunno why everyone is going nuts over imbaimbaimbagate.

If it's against the rules then Ryung should be punished regardless of whether or not he has a valid opinion. There are rules and they must be followed. Doesn't matter if Ryung had said "cheeseyballs on fire" or "Browder is a hairy nerd"; if GOM have a rule against in game chat then they need to punish him because of the act of chatting, not because of whatever was said in the message (which is irrelevant to the rule)

Have fun arguing about it though

Man, being on TL LR threads always puts me in a lousy mood the rest of the day

Starcraft 2 has become increasingly terrible to watch from a spectator point of view. So dull and all fights result in heavy use of infestors.

Some of the best ZvPs I saw were failed hydra busts that turned into insanely long games.

As for ZvZ, the muta/scourge micro was super intense but there was definitely nothing beautiful about a matchup where the tiniest misclick or misjudgment instantly ended the game at any point.
