I feel the need to remind people that balance commentary and complaints are not acceptable posts in LR topics due to the fact that they will derail any tournament topic that it is left unchecked in. If you participate in it you will be moderated.
It should also be clear that any SC2 vs LoL debates have no place in this thread. |

Serious question here (no balance), how do you stop this ? he probably should have forced the engagement instead of backing of with the lings like 3-4 times, just showed that HerO was one step ahead and didn't waste a single forcefield, because he understood what Stephano tried to do.
In the end though, it's mostly up the the protoss, which is the reason so many fans and players hate this build. If the FFs are immaculate, zerg is basically fucked.

This sux as much as infestors. He engaged over and over wasting small groups of 6-8 lings and eventually boxed himself into a corner. It was really bad. You cannot beat that build without a proper engage w/ a flank. Well you also need time/reduce sentry energy. It is not like their is an easy solution to that attack. You cannot forcefield in full 360 multiple times. That map is so big, and with knowledge of the pushout from the get-go and control of all the towers it should have been easily stopped. Stephano tried baiting Hero all the way across the map and lost like 2k mins worth of lings.
You can literally just a-move the protoss army from a 360 arc w/ 70 1-1 lings and crush the protoss outright. It's been done before.

Up and coming zerg who will be the best foreigner eventually. She has played in 6 LANs and never lost to a foreigner. Beat players like Hero, Bomber, Nerchio and has made more than 35k so far.

Can you really go for fast double expo against that if P makes no mistakes ? Cause Steph knew it was coming, didn't make any big mistakes, tried to delay, tried to flank and got rolled over :/ The MU is kinda fucked up: *the protoss 2 base immortal/sentrie/stalkers. *The zerg 2-3 base mass roach to 200 withinn 14 minutes. *The collosus/Sentrie/stalker deathball before zerg reaches tier 3. The broodwar mass infestor deathball.
If the zerg or protoss reaches any of the above points they most likely will win. And It's fucking boring to watch to be perfectly honest.

Protoss' only chance is this build right now. Lets get rid of immortals if zergs get rid of brood lords. deal I dont see how you can lose with it or atleast get a big advantage.. You should ask Suppy. There's also sniper, but no one remembers him.
Because we hate him.

Suddenly all the zergs come out and cry when stephano loses

How do you switch streams on the IPL site... or do you have to go to twitch to see other streams?

You can't stop it in a straight up fight with a 3 hatch no gas opener, and if you open anything else P does not have to do the push and can be ahead. The only way to beat it is to baserace or hope for a mistake from the P (which suprisingly happends fairly often in progames, missing forcefields and letting roaches connect with sentries).

Like 3 forcefields total? he was delaying the attack, and buying time to get more army out.
he wasnt donating lings.
doh.

Hmm, all streams are lagging like hell for me. I think something is terribly wrong with my computer.

Is this a trick question?
EG doesn't have mandatory practice hours, plus he's been flying around the world every weekend for the past month. Hard to train in those conditions, It's the same reason MC fell off last year when he chain attended foreign tournaments.

The best way to do it so far is by delaying that push with speedlings trying to bait FF out of your Protoss opponent, but if they are a good player like Hero that Protoss player will not waste FF so then you can try for a trade base while dropping spines in your base and going infestor or muta whatever you prefer. Honestly as a Random player this build is such BS
EDIT: BS is also BL/Infestor, but it is the only way to play right now David Kim are you really watching these tournaments, because it looks like the same movie just a different day.

BL/infestor... absoutely epic harass and then some luck.
I think immortal sentry makes for way worse games though, every game is the same "are the forcefields good" and regardless if they are its not exciting.
Broodlord Infestor, as bad as people make it out to seem, is alot more exciting because it at least forces protoss to try to outmaneuever the army, and involves alot more different strategies/potential in the matchup, although its obviously fucked up right now.
