From page 85 and onwards anyone contributing to a gender discussion will face moderation.
I feel the need to remind people that balance commentary and complaints are not acceptable posts in LR topics due to the fact that they will derail any tournament topic that it is left unchecked in. If you participate in it you will be moderated.
It should also be clear that any SC2 vs LoL debates have no place in this thread. |

Serious question here (no balance), how do you stop this ? he probably should have forced the engagement instead of backing of with the lings like 3-4 times, just showed that HerO was one step ahead and didn't waste a single forcefield, because he understood what Stephano tried to do. In the end though, it's mostly up the the protoss, which is the reason so many fans and players hate this build. If the FFs are immaculate, zerg is basically fucked.
go watch MVPSniper hold this push in the GSL/GSTL he baits out Forcefields , it's possible to hold, you just need to be amazingly good.

Both Naniwa and Nerchio lost to foreigners, so its not like they got a tougher bracket.

Could have dropped 3 spines at his third and just set lings in back for flank and held fine. Agree. Well I'm no expert but from what I've heard, you need to fight that strat on open space. I don't really see any way to properly flank if P is at your third and has mana for a billion FF.
Yup, roachling should never be able to beat it if the protoss is half competent with his FF. You have to do what Suppy did with his million spines and super early lair.

Can you really go for fast double expo against that if P makes no mistakes ? Cause Steph knew it was coming, didn't make any big mistakes, tried to delay, tried to flank and got rolled over :/ He made plenty of big mistakes, did you see how many lings he lost for absolutely nothing with random flank attempts? Like 3 forcefields total? with his opening you have no other hope to stop this build than to pray the protoss is dumb enough to waste force fields early, so you can flood mass lings without them having enough ff's. stephano knew he was screwed and really that was his only option. late lair (gets super fast +1 +1 for lings, delays lair quite a lot) means: no roach speed in time, no infestors, no hydras, no cute nydus base trade, no muta turtle, etc. just screwed

I got a joke under my sleeve, but it's worth 2 bans.

Fast Lair for DRG at the moment at 2 bases, Byun is going cloaked Banshees.

What the hell is up with these double elim brackets?
BBong beats Sea, loses in Round 2. Drops down to lower........to face Sea again. Leiya defeats Nerchio, loses in Round 2. Drops down to lower.......to face Nerchio again. Same situation with Huk & Hwangsin. Why???? :@

But even if he had engaged he knew he would have lost that battle ... It seems to me that it only depends on the good or bad play of protoss player, that seems a bit unfair.

BL/infestor... absoutely epic harass and then some luck. MVPSniper holds immortal push the best I've seen, just watch some of his GSL/GSTL Games.
He held it once. He lost the last he played against Parting before that in GSTL. In fact, Parting did it twice in a row, first against Sniper, then DRG and won both. So no, just because he held it once, when Parting apparently said in pre-game chat that he was going to do it, and he went hatch 1st into 3 min 3rd, doesn't mean he holds it easily every time. Not to mention in that game when he did hold it, Parting missed his 1st set of force fields, and let a bunch of Zerglings in, which killed some of his Sentries.

Sending 6 lings at a time into the ball to get killed within 1-2s and no forcefields dropped certainly did not accomplish that.
